Ironheart Episode 1-3, "Take Me Home", "Will the Real Natalie Please Stand Up?", & "We in Danger, Girl" (SPOILERS)

I was surprised by the episode lengths. Even with 6 episodes, good chance it will be longer than a lot of Disney+ series. Definitely a better cast of characters for Thorne to play off of. Natalie is very entertaining.

It is just nice to go back to clunky suits, even if it is more CG than physical still. I hate the nanite armor so much. And she is so using her step dad's car to build her suit for the finale. The foreshadowing was off the chart. I do find it interesting that her goal in the beginning was to essentially build the Rescue armor from the comics.

Kind of shocked they didn't reveal Mephisto in the 3rd episode. Wonder when he will get the reveal.

Didn't expect the Stane reveal. I guess it goes with the calling out of Tony Stark. And man, I'm sure white manchildren are upset that the show isn't giving proper respect to Tony Stark, father of the MCU. And I do find it interesting that the show focuses more on class struggle, and very, very subtly attaches that to race and gender.

Remains to be seen if could have been better shaved down to a movie or not.

I totally forgot about this lol. It was just okay. Riri totally screwed up that episode 3 ending though.

I liked the cinematography. It looked like a movie with a budget around 70 million. But I was bored watching the first three episodes and I do not care about the cast.

In Episode One, I am glad they gave Jim Rash's MIT Professor an actual name. It was so stupid in Falcon and the Winter Soldier when they had a character named "Government Official" and he appeared in three episodes without an actual name and had a bunch of speaking lines. At least they could have given him a random last name, like he's Senator Smith, that would have been fine, but they never gave him a name.

Am I getting old and out of touch or is the main character in this show just completely unlikable?

Finished the first half. It was intense and dark at times. I was going to say "Joe" was a fun addition. Was surprised he was a comics character. I don't know enough about that specific character (besides that he exists), but I suspect he's quite different.
