THE DEO CAPTURES ANOTHER WORLDKILLER – The DEO captures a second Worldkiller, Purity (guest star Krys Marshall). Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) use very different methods of interrogation with Purity in the hopes of finding out how to defeat Reign (Odette Annable). However, Purity escapes and attacks the city’s subway tunnels. Meanwhile, J’onn (David Harewood), Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and Mon-El (Christopher Wood) band together to fix the Legion ship. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Paula Yoo (#313). Original airdate 2/5/2018.

They have an idea of how to defeat Reign? Use Psi against her again. They already saw her become vulnerable as she temporarily reverted back to Samantha. Why wouldn't they use Psi?

That only worked for about 5 seconds. Just like Kryptonite. Those are all techniques to briefly weaken her, but that's about it. It'll take a lot more to actually defeat her.

Hence why I think it will be Superman/ Supergirl/ Martian Manhunter/ Miss Martian/ Legion of Superheroes vs. Reign and the Worldkillers that may culminate in the season finale.

Nice, basically none of that footage includes the subway fight from the promo pics, so it's likely a pretty action-packed ep. Which is a good thing since it's the last one before the long hiatus.

They could use it to temporarily weaken her. Every advantage they should make use of. It might just be enough time.

If Psi hit her multiple times, it could send her into a spiral of fear. She could also be hit with Kryptonite. And if Silver Banshee were still around, she could also disorient Reign like she did to Kara, who was knocked out of a building and had to be caught by the Flash.

Also, now they know that Samantha has been losing time, they should put a tracker on her for safety's sake. That way they can tell where she's been. Chyler or even Samantha herself could've suggested that.

Also, what happened to Bizarro Supergirl? They could get her to provide backup. Or better still, get an alternate universe Kara.

I'd love to know how the Bizarro Clone is doing. The ending scene was so sweet and actually quite tragic. I was hoping the DEO would make good on their promise to 'fix' her.

Ok so far it seems like this ep is gonna be another "Alex" for me - in that ep, it annoyed me to no end how uncharacteristically bullheaded they made Kara for the sake of manufacturing conflict with with Maggie. Now it looks like they're gonna do the same for Alex here.

They really seem to be setting her up to find out about who Reign really is and whether to try and kill her or not.

Yeah but having her in the room undermining Kara's approach every other word is just overkill, imo. Let Kara actually try her way before you barrel through it, Alex.

Whatever reason it is, I can see them carrying this over to Sam once they find out she is Reign. If Alex is so sure that the human persona is just a cover, then she's going to have trouble reconciling Sam.

Oh great, they're going with the "Mon-El's marriage was forced" approach, which means we're to be blessed with more Kara/Mon-El ~true love~ nonsense. I'm thrilled.

I had actually begun to hope that they were going to mercifully move us on from this.
