I feel like it’s still up in the air about what Sylvie is. They kept hinting at enchantress by mentioning the word but Loki still thinks she’s a Loki variant. Maybe she is just an amalgamation of both characters but I hope it’s cleared up for good soon. There’s still a lot of backstory left to tell of her.

Enjoyable episode for me, some good development and Loki using powers we haven’t seen before.

I felt that this was a filler episode as well but what salvages it is Hiddleston (as usual) and Loki's chemistry with Sylvie. It was also about 10 minutes shorter than the previous two so if they escape Lamentis in the first 10 minutes of the next episode then there's no reason why they couldn't have shown that in this one other than just wanting to end on a cliffhanger. I also missed Mobius in this episode.

Ok episode. I get it needed to be more dialogue because of Sylvie but still didn’t feel like we got a lot. How did she become a variant? Does she have a brother named Thor? Hiddleston definitely carries every episode.

More of a character building episode this time, but sort of with a Doctor Who style. We did get to spend a nice amount of time with Loki and Sylvie. Loki does have some decent magic and fighting skills, but we also know he's not the best or strongest fighter.

    1. So the TVA agents weren't created by the Timekeepers, but are likely humans or used to be who are other variants.
    2. Sylvie has been running away from the TVA for a long time. Seems like she's simply trying to be free of them rather than usurp them or steal the Timekeepers powers.

Was the lonely widower with the gun/canon Mary Steenburgen??

Nevermind... checked IMDB... it's not her.

Definitely my favorite episode of the series so far. Maybe it's because there hasn't been enough good Doctor Who the past few years to quench my thirst for that kind of fun and character banter.

The WHO vibes were strongest here.

But... kind of turned on its ear with how it ended.

A breather episode for sure but engaging.

I have to ask... Is this the first mention of MCU Loki being bi or pansexual, if I'm even applying those correctly for any number of reasons I may not be aware of?

Mythological Loki birthed offspring after all so not out of the realms of possibilities with this character but until now I don't recall any hint of Loki with "princes" or any other male character unless I missed something?

I'd give this an 8/10 objectively. I gave the others 10s.

It did indeed feel like a Moffat-era Doctor Who episode, with better direction, music, action and SFX.

Not crazy about Bisha Ali's writing, but this was her only episode of the series.. so no major loss. Better suited for Miss Marvel.

For those who wanted more action, this delivered. I do prefer the Hiddleston/Wilson buddy cop dynamic and conversations instead. Tom did elevate his scenes with Lady Loki, but she didn't really add much.. just played the straight man.

Speaking of which, Loki is now a confirmed homosexual. That's something.. that actually makes sense and fits the character. So there's the MCU's first open gay.

This episode was short. 30 minutes. That makes me wonder because Feige said the entire Loki run would be 6 hours. Is there an additional episode beyond the 6? Or is there a much longer episode coming?

    We shall see.

Just to be accurate, he is confirmed bisexual.... not homosexual.

Well in order to be a bisexual, one must also exhibit homosexual tendencies I'd assume.

    Loki's sexuality is a spectrum.

It's interesting that all the D+ Marvel shows are headed up by characters of diversity.

(I am not a member of the LGBTQ+ community so if I'm overstepping, by all means, feel free to tell me so) We should still use the proper terms. Just because someone who is bi happens to be in a same sex/gay/lesbian relationship, it doesn't stop the fact that they also feel attraction to members of the opposite sex (and the reverse holds true as well, being in male/female relationship doesn't stop the fact that bi's also feel same sex attraction). Regardless of whatever the relationship they're in is, a person who identifies as bisexual is still bi, proper terms matter.

    So Loki is bisexual? Decent.

All in all it felt like a filler episode. They want to do a special character driven episode but it didnt worked for me. The first episode of D+ I really didnt like. There were some good character moments but you can easy cut 15 min away.

I don't believe Loki exhibited any sexual appetite whatsoever during his prior MCU appearances. So spending sexy time with princesses and princes are both new revelations.

Enjoyed the episode, but I am having trouble believing Loki got drunk, caused both he and Sylvia to be tossed off the train, and busted the TemPad. There's got to be some kind of con going on here, right? Maybe he and Moebius are in cahoots and he's using their imminent demise to drill Lady Loki for info? He already got the "TVA employees are Variants!" knowledge drop we already kinda knew.

I've seen some speculations elsewhere that a chunk of the episode might be an illusion - either it's Sylvie trying to enchant Loki, or that (from the moment Sylvie wakes up from her nap) that it's Loki working to enchant her.

Those are, of course, just speculations.

    I don't know either.

I'm no expert on Identity Politics.. we'll see what writer Bisha K. Ali says.

Though Loki being gay seems rather organic to the character, and not a forced addition. I mean he's a shapeshifting, blue alien. Hopefully this isn't a divisive to viewers. Disney show afterall.

It was an okay episode, not the best, but that is expected from someone who wrote Rick and Morty. As great as that show is (and I quite enjoyed the season 5 premiere) it does tend to have filler episodes every once and a while.

Just saw the latest episode. Enjoyed seeing Loki and Sylvie interact over the course of it. Hard to predict where this show will end up.

I don't know why I'm not feeling this show, so far. I like much of the individual parts of it but I think I'm gonna wait until the series ends to watch all the episodes together because maybe that's what's been bothering me.
The Mandalorian did a much better job with each episode feeling like chapters of a bigger story or even mini-movies. There's not many rewatchable qualities in any of these episodes.

The director stated on twitter that he's bi.
