Fraser and Purcell Favorites To Take Over Hulk Role
Actors Brendan Fraser and Dominic Purcell are set to fight it out to play The Incredible Hulk's alter-ego Bruce Banner in the movie's sequel following Eric Bana's decision to pull out of the project. Bana played the shape-shifting doctor in the 2003 movie, and was initially interested in a return to the role - if the timing was right. But, according to website Cinescape.com, the Aussie actor has stepped down as The Hulk medic and now The Mummy star Fraser and Purcell are the favorites to don the white coat and attempt to control their rage.

nope, but this is another one of those "Hulk 2 going straight to DVD" type things. We'll just have to wait and see if Marvel do anything on the 12th like they said they will.

it'd be a shme to lose Bana, he's one of the few leading men Marvel have that is actually an "actor" ... but i dont really care now. If they make another film with Hulk in it, i'll watch it, if they dont, fine by me.

The idea of using Abomination shows they are going in the right direction,this time i'd like to see Bana do the motion capture work for Hulk

Abomination was made for the big screen. With him and Hulk going all out in Hulk 2, that would be amazing, its up to marvel now.

Agreed. There was an interview with Bana a few months ago where he said he was proud of the first movie and it sounded like he was hoping to be involved with a sequel. Maybe he was too busy but to me, it sounds like the producers could've just ousted him.

By the sounds of it they havent even contacted him about it, i mean a poster here is in touch with someone who know's and he has constantly said to that person that Marvek have not contacted him. I dont see any reason for him to lie so its probably true.
