Error 8002A548

I'm trying to log onto my account but I keep getting an error message with those numbers&letter then it signs me out,I can sign onto my wife's account no problem..although sometimes it doesn't show her friends list,I try net testing/rebooting my modem/re inputting my net info and restarting the console but nothing works,I tried asking on Playstation's site's forums but the comments are just flooded with childish idiots trying to be funny.

Is there something going on with Sony's servers or is it my console or what???

It's happening all over. I'm reading conflicting stuff online, some say that PSN was doing light maint on some servers and that anyone that wasn't already logged in is getting locked out and I'm reading that it actually went down and they're working on it.

If it was because of maint, surely they can choose a better time than Friday night when there's probably more people online than any other night of the week.
