That is a player thing, not an NFL thing though. They want to be associated with the NFL, just not those specific players.Sponsors are even pulling out. During specific live games

That is exactly what I said. I am not sure why you posted that.Multiple media buyers tell THR that clients have requested their ads not appear during games featuring the Ravens or Minnesota Vikings, the team of suspended running back Adrian Peterson (due in a Texas court Oct. 8 on a child abuse charge for whipping his 4-year-old son). CBS, which kicked off its $275 million Thursday Night Football package Sept. 11 with strong ratings for a Ravens game, had one sponsor ask to be removed from the broadcast and another request its ads shift, likely away from a discussion of the violence issue during CBS Sports' pregame report. CBS declined to identify the sponsors.

Yeah, I love his weekly show with Cousin Sal during the football season. Three weeks with no picks is gonna ruin their bet. This is absolute crap. I listened to Monday's show with cousin sal ( its the highlight of my Monday in football season) and I thought he might catch some heat but not 3 weeks! I hate ESPN and what they have done to sports media.
I bet ESPN got a call from the NFL office. "General" media wouldn't care what they have to say about an editorial but ESPN (the main "sports" media) apparently does.
ESPN was quick to release a statement that it wasn't the case when people started chirping that. Is there any truth to it? Who knows? Remember they ran with the Outside the Lines story with no hesitation and have yet to back down off it.
