any good issues or arch that show him off? also,if anyone has some defineing moments that would be nice.

Killing Joke if you didn't read it yet. That flashes out the Joker, his motivations and his similarity to Batman.

Also death in the Family. It just shows the how Joker's actions affects the Bat family.

Maybe the Man who laughs.

the laughing fish.

Ed brubaker done a great one recently called the man who laughs

wThe Man Who Laughs is great.

I also reconmend Devils Advocate.

Ledger better be reading all of the Jokers finest moments....

i hope he decides the role isnt right for him and they offer it to paul bettany...

well it seems most of those are out of print and i hate ebay, any suggestions?

The Killing Joke shouldn't be out of print... there've been like 12 printings. Two websites that are reliable that I order from:
www.tcomics.com
www.mycomicshop.com

The former has the later printings for cheap, but I think the latter only has the first two printings at high prices. Don't know how prices compare for other trades, though.

Alright... I did my best to make a chart, because I don't know if there's a way to make on on this. But anyway, price comparisons from the two sites I mentioned above:

Tcomics
MyComicShop
TKJ: $5.95
TKJ: None available
Ark. Asylum: $24.95 HC
Ark. Asylum: $19.20 HC
Man Who Laughs: Unavailable
Man Who Laughs: Unavailable
Death in the Family: Unavailable
Death in the Family: $12.95

Thank you very much.wiki wasnt much help, the sites there didnt work.

So I tried getting TMWL the other day, only to find out it was out of print. This was a crippling blow as I really want to get my hands on a copy. Is there anyplace that anyone recommends other than a Con, where I could find a copy?

Finding a copy of The Man Who Laughs is a tall order. With the buzz of the new movie, I'm hoping it'll be re-released at some point.

As for difficulty finding The Killing Joke, it's reprinted with a host of other good stories in the recent paperback, DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore. It's under $20 and should be available at your LCS. It's definitely available thru Amazon.
