Ever Fall Asleep At Work?

....I was just dozing off a few minutes ago. It's the first time I've put myself in that vulnerable position at this job.

But it's happened before at part-time jobs. At one college gig in particular, I had my own system for napping and covering it up.

What about you guys?

In the past when I would work on a Sunday morning, I'd doze in my office.

When I worked at the movie theater we'd put 3 popcorn bags together to make a bed in the back.
I also passed out drunk right in the threshold of "Sense and Sensibility" or something and the thing that woke me up was an angry man who kicked me and I woke up to see an entire audience's worth of people staring at me waiting to get out because I passed out right in the doorway.

I still have no idea what I was doing over by the exit, but I've fallen asleep in the back of the theater for 95 percent of the movies that came out in the late 90's.

I never believed in movies that people can sleep while sitting erect, until it happened to me at this job years and years ago, and, as it happened, the thing that woke me up that time was my boss's boss's boss's boss's BOSS.....the man who owns all of our souls and a third of Seattle.


The theater was great though. I was pretty much paid to drink heavily for free (using movie passes as currency), get with chicks, sleep, eat for free and watch movies.

I use to work at one for 4 years and a bit and I would ALWAYS fall asleep.

One time I had to sleep IN the store over night cuz the girl who worked mornings took the key and the owner was away in cuba and the manager wasnt answering her phone so I got my gf to go to my place and bring me my pillows and my batman returns sleeping bag lol

I rest my eyes quite alot at work.

I got fired from BT for "sleeping" but I get away with resting my eyes here quite alot.

Porn is only interesting when it is a special ocassion thing. It's like working at Disneyland (which I have also done). Eventually it's Meh, the Matterhorn, big deal, I just need a nap

I slept so much in college that I had a couch in the drama dept reserved for me. It was in the boy's dressing room because the girl's were *****es and kept waking me up. It was named Couchy. I loved it

I fell asleep on the second floor of a building we putting up. I was sitting on a beam and rested my head on the inside of a column. My foreman at the time woke me up with a hammer. I guess I had too much to drink the night before.

I can't agree with Dew cuz I find porn very interesting (and the people who watch it...oh crazy customer stories lol)

it was exciting at first but after about a month it all bleeds together especially when returning tags. Sure I knew allt he movies and actors and companys basically I knew more about what we had in stock then those actually owning/running the place. I saw myself as a kind of twisted libraian lol

As far as falling asleep there...it gets boring like everyother job.

Well, you are also a guy, aren't you, KB? I'm a girl. It seems the girls are more interested in the toys, and the boys are more interested in the movies. Since I couldn't "play" with anything, there were just so many over engorged vaginas I could take, ya know? Plus I worked graveyard shift. There were some nights I had NO customers at all
