I thought it would be fun to share stories of instances where you met a celebrity or a famous person you look up to!

I worked at Fallingwater (a Frank Lloyd Wright house) for a few years in high school and had the pleasure of giving a tour to Tom hanks, Ron Howard and Dennis Miller and their families! It was an awesome experience except for the fact that their was a jerk on a tour behind us who kept yelling RUN FOREST RUN. Tom said he got it all the time...but I could tell he was really annoyed. Anyway, it was pure happen stance that he ended up on my tour, and it was great!

anyone else have a funny or ridiculous story about meeting celebrities?

Dave Chappelle lives 8 miles down the road from me...my wife and I see him pretty frequently at the nearby Cheesecake Factory. Decent guy, very friendly....but definitely doesn't like alot of attention.

Sat next to Akili Smith (Cincinnati Bengals reject) at a Black Jack table in Indiana...jack*** can't play for crap and pissed off everybody at the table.

Seriously? Where do you live? I used to sell Dave Chappelle cigars in Beavercreek!

I met Sean Astin in a retaurant and he tried to sell me on voting for Hillary Clinton in the primaries.

Did you say "Shut up Samwise and eat your POE-TATE-TOES?"

My backyard is the old Trebein radar site at the edge of Fairborn and Beavercreek. (corner of Trebein and New Germany Trebein)

I've met a couple. When I was selling cars, I sold a Tahoe to Tyler Perry. When I worked at the local AMC theater, I met Chris Tucker when Rush Hour 2 came out.

No, but people kept yelling "Rudy!" at him and nerdy girls kept handing him copies of Lord of the Rings to sign and the Return of the King was on the TV over his head (it was a bar restaurant) while he was trying to talk about taxes and the war and civil service intiatives. Then Christopher Cross showed up at the restaurant and he took some time out to chat with him. It was one of the more bizarre things I've ever been involved with.

Jack Hanna wrapped a giant albino boa constrictor around me at Busch Gardens. He said "There's no way this thing will crush this kid". Yes... I was a chubby kid. :o

Katie Holmes & Chris Klein back when they were an item.
I'm from her hometown of Toledo, OH and my wife (then girlfriend) and I ran into them at a local tavern when she was in town to MC a parade. He was really nice, but she came across as really annoyed & snobbish. All we did was say "Hello" and that we were fans and wished them well. It's not like we made pests of ourselves at all. To be fair, maybe she was just having a bad day and didn't want to be approached...who hasn't felt like that from time to time?

I literally bumped into Jude Law while he was filming Alfie in Manchester. I didn't even realise at the time until I'd started to walk away.

I would've bumped him harder if I knew he was spoiling a classic :cmad:

Nope...they all get away from me somehow :o

I used to work at that cigar store next to the Sam's club! I lived in Charter Hall behind Mejir! How'd neighbor! Where do you work?

My family still lives up there, I'm in Florida.

Bruce Springsteen used to go to the gym I went to for about 5 years. For the longest time I thought it was someone who looked eerily simmilar to him until one day we were both doing hamstring curls and he asks me if I want to use the machine he was just using. I knew as soon as he spoke it was the real deal. I said, "no thanks, Boss. I'm just about finished for the day." I couldnt resist double checking with him and said "you're Bruce Springsteen, aren't you?"
"yeah, man. Nice to meet you." He put out his hand for me to shake. And shake it, I did.

nice freakin' guy.

I also had lunch with Lou Taylor Pucci on friday. He was in Thumbsucker and 50 Pills. Not a celebrity yet, but he's got the talent to be huge if he really wants to be.

Diamond Dallas Page
Tom Pagnozzi
Tony La Russa
Conan O'Brian

I feel like there are more but I can't think of any.
A buddy of mine is an intern for Conan O'Brian so he's met dozen of celebs. And he starts working on SNL next spring.
And my sister-in-law is Jenna Fisher's sister's "boss".

Oh, and Howard Dean last Saturday.
