I'd quite like to see David Tennant in the role.

They should be fine casting an actor up to about 45 years old. Early forties would be good for Reed.

He'd be good. I also like Matt Smith for the part as well.

What about real life couple Hugh Dancy (Hannibal) and Clair Danes (Homeland) for Reed and Sue?

Funny you should say that...
Tennant: I don’t know which ones I would suit, really. I can’t imagine who I could play. I’m a bit old for a lot of them now, which is a terrible, alarming truth. Who could I be? I could probably still do Reed Richards – Mr. Fantastic. I don’t know. Villains are always great. I’d be very happy to do a bit of that. They’re the one growth industry in movies, at the moment, so it would be nice to do one, I suppose, as either the good guy or the bad guy. The bad guys probably get the better lines, don’t they? And they wear less spandex. That would be quite good.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Good Lord, no.

No thank you. Patrick Wilson was a good choice whoever suggested it.

Unless he completely changed his demeanor all I'd be seeing is the Doctor.

Hugh Dancy would be awesome as read. Tennant is waaaaayy too much like Gruffud

Who's pimp hand is strong enough to play Reed :cwink:

Well if anyone thought Gruffud was too wimpy, I think Tennant would seem even worse.

We need to get away from that nerdy/wimpy image of Reed and have him more of the strong and physical leader.

Too young looking and doesn't fit Reed to me. He also has a *****ey air around himself for some reason.

Interesting. What if the movie re-imagines the team as being more college-age?

Then Fox might as well give up now if they're going to do that.

And he looks like some nerdy *****e in college who would never get a girl like Sue, and probably even Johnny would pick on him too.

We wouldn't want any Mark Zuckerberg types for Reed anyway.

I'm down with either Patrick Wilson or Billy Crudup. They both worked in Watchmen because they're two actors that don't really overshadow a role, but they're beliveable enough at the same time to really just flow with the character.

Crudup would be awesome. And no doubt Wilson would tear it up as well.

I'm probably gunning for Crudup a little more because of how he played Manhattan, kind of detached. Reed gets like that at times.

I didn't think of the detached comparison before, but that's a good point.

He might be a bit too old now, or perhaps not. Billy Campbell!
