3) I don't believe in his "nonsense", I believe in the things he says that make a sense. He is not an infallible religious prophet and has repeatedly made clear that he doesn't claim to be. He has also said that he doesn't expect anyone to blindly believe his words but that he wants to present ideas that won't be heard elsewhere. He has admitted that he may be wrong about everything, may be deceived, etc.

That's why he makes more sense than religions. In Christianity or Islam you HAVE to believe that they are the only truth, and sorry, there's no way you can know that.

Completely disagree. I've seen just as much anti-religion sentiment thrown at muslims as I have at christians. Ironically, I haven't really seen any anti-jewish sentiments. The anti sentiment thrown at the muslims is often more misplaced than the one thrown at the christians though, I've seen many threads accusing all muslims of being violent. The reason christians get it hard is because in america a)they're the most preachy overall, and b)they're pushing (and often succeeding) the government to legislate morality, rather than justice.

Also, and this is just an honest observation, it seems like (other than established posters like Kessel) the fervent christians on this forum have the most trouble with spelling and grammar.

And none of my beliefs are any more "crack-potty" than the notion of a chick having a baby without having sex, or 2 of every animal on Earth all magically convening and living on a giant boat for over a month despite the fact that there was nothing for the thousands of species of carnivores to EAT, or the notion of giant locusts with human faces, long hair and bodies like horses coming out of the center of the Earth to sting men like scorpions ( Book of Revelations ).

Only difference is, TSOG and I have been called ass****s, MORONS, ******S, FOOLS, Paranoid freaks, idiots, I really can't remember all of the insults.......but it's open season on UNPOPULAR or UNORTHODOX beliefs here. Fact.

1) Yes frigging way. Have you watched one of his EIGHT hour long lectures on video? If you haven't, then you have no idea what you're talking about.
I used to think he was just funny, entertainingly bizarre...until I watched one of his seminars. He is a genius.

Pretty much all "Faith" based beliefs can be considered "crackpotty" to those whose don't believe. This is the first I have heard of this Icke fellow and his talkings....so I need to read up on them more.

You should know by now that I always tell people to not act that way towards others....but to rather peacefully say if they agree or not without getting into name calling and personal attacks.

I am not knowledgeable about the Quran. But I'm eminently knowledgeable about the Bible, and the Bible is very clear about the fact that there is only one God, only one way to salvation and that it is abomination to take any other path than that which is set up by the Biblical God. Common knowledge.

When the Muhammed cartoons were released you had mass protests peaceful or otherwise calling on the west to respect Islamic beliefs yet three months later a christian man is going to be executed not for insulting Islam (though why should that be a criminal offence?) but just for converting from Islam. I know I will get this isn't "true" Islam or its taken out of context but if that was the case why weren't there mass protest about this I would say greater "misinterpretation" of the Muslim faith, the only protest I saw when I looked was protests for him to be killed. Not a single Muslim country helped, muslim countries where the majority of muslims live. Where was the peaceful majority to help Abdul Rahamn, muslims can prosetleze (sp?) to whomever they please in Christian countries, build mosques ect, but Christians should try looking for a church that isn't centuries old in a muslim country or hand a Bible to a muslim in a muslim country. The hypocrasy is astounding, and no one calls muslim countries and the muslims who live there on it. I'm not saying all muslims are like this , you, Phaser and DM seem like real nice guys but its hard for me to feel sympathy knowing if I go to a muslim country and become a christian citizen, I'll be a second class citizen, or in the case of Saudi Arabia I cant become a citizen at all.

I'd be the first one to agree with you if I were talking about all athiests.
I don't give a damn if you believe in god or not, I'm not sure I do myself.

My problem are the athiests who act "above it all", and there are plenty of them.
Ironically they've become what they despise, by cramming their beliefs down your throat just as much as hardcore christians.

I am a well respect Jewish member here at the Hype who has been here for a very long time and has made quite a lot of posts. I am using this account to not reveal my identity.

I have come to notice that basically everyone on this message board is very anti-semitic, very anti-christian, anti-buddhist and anti-hindu, however VERY pro-Muslim. I have seem some members say some especially horrible things about christians and jews, yet i have seen cases where people said very similiar things about muslims yet have been censored, or even banned. I even seen posts encouraging the destruction of Israel, the Vatican, and the beheading of Christians. This discrimination towards non-muslim religions is especially seen through the prominent atheists here. Though I onced said something quite a while a back about the Muslim religion being corrupted and my post my deleted and I recieved a plentiful of 'hate' PMs. It seems everyone is going through a phase of 'double-standards' which sucks balls.

I see the Hype as more of of pro-athiest than pro-Islam. Honestly the double standards of some liberals disgust me, we should respect all religions, not just bash Christianity and respect the rest.

1) That would be really insulting if not for the fact that you don't know me as a person. Um, I'm kinda...smart. I was not impressed with the duration for which he spoke. It was, um...the concepts discussed and the issues raised and the unbelievable ammount of research and memorization he did. K? K
