Arrow 'everyone kind of fights to get to write the Felicity scenes'

Water is wet, sky is blue. Felicity is the favorite child.

Felicity is an "amazing Comic-book character" too, you know, and, with as good of an actress as Emily Bett Rickards is, I'm not surprised that she's the 'favorite child', as Primal Slayer put it.

No she isnt. She was the mother of Firestorm... That was her character in the comics.

Even if they've drastically changed her, she's still a character from the comics, and, yes, she's just as amazing as any of the characters you cited.

Though it would be nice and new if they talked about everyone who wasnt Felicity/Olicity for once this season.

They absolutely destroyed her last season with the Tumblr shipper pandering and the nonstop cry-talking scenes. Hopefully they can turn character back in the right direction but I'm not holding my breath.

Hopefully they'll be at least aware of what the non Olicity fans think and tone it down.

They can still appeal to the female fans they're trying to cater to by just continuing with the strong female characters like Laurel (sometimes) and Talia.

While i do like Felicity and Oliver/Felicity...i cant deal with the show if they continue to shove both down my throat.

Its supposed to be a superhero show, not some kind of Romance series.
The Last season really pushed it far...you had Ra's al Ghul as Villain but they decided to focus the last half on Oliver/Felicity instead of just adding it to a great plot.

If this continues, i drop arrow like a hot potato...no matter how much i like Felicity and Oliver.

God somebody needs to come in from above Guggenheim and clean house with this show. They let him keep this crap up and they will shave years off the show. The Flash crossover brought new viewers last year but that seems like it should be a one time thing.

They better not be fighting to write those horrible quivering voice, over-dramatic scenes of her crying. I can understand the witty scenes, but those are becoming fewer and further between.

This.
Felicity was funny before but in season 3....

Likewise. I *liked* Felicity, and I liked her as the primary love interest. But as soon as season 3 came around, the writing level just plummeted. It was painful.

I hate those scenes. What is best described as Felicity's infamous "cry talking". :whatever:

She can barely hold a conversation anymore without her voice always quivering and being on the verge of bursting into tears. And half the time it happens over the most trivial matters. She just needs to spill her coffee and she'd have an emotional breakdown. She's literally a 25 year old baby now. :csad:

Yeah those cry talking scenes are just awful, she's not a bad actress at all but they were awful from both an acting and writing standpoint. As much as I like her character I really think they should kill her off in a huge dramatic way.

The cry talking was annoying as hell. I think the writers need to remember not everyone who watches the show is watching because they are a fan of Olicity. They need to tone the over blown dramatic romance/relationship stories down a peg and concentrate on the plotlines a bit more.

Felicity is great when written mostly as a tech/comedy character (See: Season 1 & 2).

When she is mainly written as a love interest/dramatic/sad character it just doesn't work.

They need to get her back to writing her as Season 1 & 2 Felicity.

She doesn't need to die. The writers just need to not give her ****** material.

I really wonder what this show would've been like if Felicity wasn't on it.
