The absurdity is why i loved it personally. It just got crazier and crazier but in a wildly entertaining way. The Daniels are LITERALLY the only directors on the planet who could've made the rock scene work as well as it did. I could not believe how hilarious and emotionally moving that whole sequence was.

I love how they randomly worked the lyrics of Absolutely (Story of a Girl) into the dialogue. Apparently that was totally by accident when they were writing the script and then when they realized it, they reached out to the singer for Nine Days and he wrote new versions of the song for the movie.

I don’t recall exactly but it’s a moment when Waymond is explaining the multiverse to Evelyn and he says “Your clothes never wear as well the next day, your hair never falls in quite the same way.” And then later the song actually does play. Apparently it pops up 4 different times although I only caught it once.

Universal is becoming the studio of choice these days. Good for them.

Just chanced to see it on a flight. It is a gem, like the good bits of Gunn, Waititi and Cretton rolled into one. It’s hilarious and heart felt. For me the film of the year so far. 10/10

Awesome. It's crazy that it's gotten this far in the awards race, I never though I'd see it especially since it came out back in March.

Hmm, I was expecting it to feature despite the very early release date. Glad to see it getting recognised now.

It's been great rewatching this with the movie reactors on youtube and seeing them all freak out during the "trophy" jump pad scene.

Fun fact that guy played Death Dealer in Shang Chi and I’ll never look at his character the same way.

Seen it yesterday. Well, it was ok.
While it was very creative and the fighting choreography was even better than Shang Chi the pacing and characters didn’t do it for me.
The pacing was both too fast and too slow for me. I know it has to be chaotic like the shatters of a multiverse, but it didn’t worked for me.
Also I didn‘t bond with the characters.
All in all it was just too much for me. Absolutely lowest point: the butt-plug-fight. I thought about turning off, even I did pay for renting this movie
    4/10

It was worth a watch once, but not a keeper for me. Some of the humor was good, some of it forced. The cast was great, but at times I found the story just too chaotic. 6/10 for me. :)
