I saw this while perusing the net, don't know who drew it. Don't think it's been posted here, but if it has, my sincere apologies. I think it's a pretty awesome look for Joker.

It was posted like a year ago, but it doesn't matter. No harm, no foul. Cool picture though.

Funny . . . I also created a rendering much like that pic; I think that I likely used the same pic of Hulme for reference:

 Wowzers. That is maganeficent. Great job

Thanks! I tried to make him look as realistic as possible . . . to make him look like the Joker with as little 'special effect' as possible. It wasn't easy, because there are only a small amount of Hulme pics for reference out there, and since most of his more well-known flicks are Indie flics out of Australia, it's hard to get good footage of him too.

I did my best to render him w/ the smiling face w/o reference, because there's just not really out there! I think showing the gums makes him look especially menacing, though . . .

I always thought Hume had a more toothy grin than that...

He probably does, but there's little to no pictures of him smiling...

yeah . . . when I was working on this piece, I even rented the Croc Hunter movie  That's right, I'm dedicated LOL!!

There were a couple parts where he winced, but his character was very rigid, so I basically used myself as reference. I guess I didn't really notice that his teeth are probably much larger now that you mention it!

wow, not to shoot myself in the foot, but his whole mouth is probably way too small for his bone structure . . . probably because I added the gums, and it made his mouth look larger than it actually is! Anyway, the small teeth make him look more sinister, so it ended up working for the piece . . . but if I worked for Warner Bros., I'd have some 'splainin to doooo'

The mouth could use a little improvement, but regardless, it's still a great piece of art.

I thought I saw a picture of him smiling here sometime before, but I guess I was mistaken...

Yeah, I've posted it before . . . I wish it would come up like the other piece when you do the search on yahoo . . . I don't know how that guy got his piece to do that!! I think he's got it on more websites, and probably had the piece out there before mine . . .

So you're telling me there is going to be another Joker movie only this time he's all serious? Don't they have any other villains? I mean it's cool if they redo Catwoman, because she has so many different orgins and side storys and crap, but how are they going to pull off Joker twice?

They'll do it like he's been done in the comics for the past 20-30 years.

Yeah, and hopefully this time, he won't be carrying a boombox that constantly loops shytty Prince songs . . .

Wow, that's a great piece, DV8.

After seeing these renderings, I could buy Hulme's looks for Joker, just wish I knew how he acts...

yeah . . . it's hard finding his 'quality' films, which are out of Australia . . . he has all but 4 lines or so in Matrix Revolutions, and his only other 'notable' American film is the bloody 'Croc Hunter'!!!

I was just on IMDb.com, though, and he previously had NO pics available . . . now there are several . . . seems the buzz is indeed building up around him being in the running for this role . . . personally, I would really like to see him nab it . . .

I prefer him over Bettany because Bettany just seems very un-Jokerish to me.
