I love Smallville, but I hesitate to even put it in the same league as Supernatural. Though this season has been close.

While I like Supernatural, I disagree with this statement. Mad Men is the far superior show, IMO.

It is indeed VERY odd to see SV (and SPN?) included on that list - they seldom get any big time pub. But hey... I'm not going to complain. GO SMALLVILLE!

I luuuvs me some Supernatural, and How I Met Your Mother is a hoot, but there's no doubt who gets my vote.

The two shows they are really missing on that list are Friday Night Lights and True Blood. (although I'd still vote for SV - just 'cause ).

You would just love Friday nights here. I always think of you. On Fox 8 the night starts off at 7.30 with an episode of Smallville, followed at 8.30 with an episode of Supernatural, ending the night at 9.30 with an episode of Friday Night Lights. I call it Serene's Night. t:

Welling is actually good friends with both Ackles, from his Smallville days, and Padaleicki who he worked with on Cheaper By the Dozen. I've heard they go golfing together a lot on off days up in Vancouver

part of me would love to see a SV/SN crossover episode although I know the continuities dont mesh especailly with Ackles having played a bad guy who died on SV.

For those who don't know, as Hulk said, Tom is friends with the SPN guys, and he played a practical joke on them on-set one day by popping up in the backseat of their car while they were filming. I know there's more to the story, but I don't remember it all. I would just die to see that clip.

Found it. Here's Tom's version of what happened.

"Supernatural and Smallville actually shoot a block away from each other, and I'm really good friends with Jensen and Jared. Last season, at one point, I actually got off a little bit earlier than they did, and I went down to their set. They weren't there yet, and I knew some of the people on set, because they had worked on Smallville, so I jumped in the backseat of their car, and if you've seen the show, you know they're always driving their car and they're pullin' in to places and getting out of their car. So, I get in the backseat, and they were in a big hurry because they were late getting to set--very unprofessional--and they jumped in the car very quickly 'cause the crew was yelling 'We're already rolling, go, go, go.' And just as they jumped in, I reached over, and I grabbed Jensen, and I pulled him into the backseat, and he didn't know what was going on. He thought it was his stunt double, so he started hittin' me, so I started hittin' him back. And then when he realized who was who, they said 'Action,' so he jumps in the front seat, we tear down this alley, he pulls into this bar and all three of us jumped out, and we all walked into this bar, and as we walked in, the door closed and we heard 'Um...cut?' They didn't know what was goin' on. So, I made an appearance on Supernatural. I believe I was edited out."​
