Who else loves this song from Returns? i think its the best batman movie song to date.

I love it. I kinda like Scandalous from B89 a bit more, but Face to Face is really good.

Yeah Face to Face is cool-It works so well in the film itself; I love the way the music starts as Keaton turns round and sees Michelle Pfeiffer- one of the most beautiful women ever walking towards him. I have this song on the vinyl LP of the soundtrack and play it every now and then when I don't have time to watch the movie. It's cool and Siouxsie is a great singer.

U2's Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me and Kiss from a rose are by far better imo, but thats just me.

That is the soundtrack songs im talking about there.

I love how Elfman incorporated Catwoman's motif into the song

same here, it works so well. also, your sig an d avatar, what movie is that? is bale actually saying "i see dumb ppl"? LOL.

dont get me wrong, i LOVE the U2 and seal songs from the forever soundtrack, they are great rock songs and i grew up listening to them ALOT on the tape of the BF soundtrack (all the other songs sucked), but those songs dont have anything to do with batman at ALL, they were just pop songs added onto the soundtrack, pretty commercial. the face to face song actually was a commentary on the relationship between bruce wayne and selina kyle dealing with there duel identities, and i found it much more meaningful as a batman song. i too love how elfman added the catwoman scratching violin sounds as well as the Penguin theme. brilliant. it gets me into a trance when i listen to it, very hypnotic and romantic in a way. the video for it was so great, and fit in well with the movie look. i also found siouxie strangly attractive, must have had something to do with that catwoman-ish tight leather or something, but she was hot in that video.

oh and i dont think you could ever get me to listen to the prince songs, cept maybe partyman.

Thanks, the avatar is from Bale's Harsh Times and yes that's what he's saying.

well I'd say its parodying the actual movie, not it's subsequent spoofs

They play this song a lot at Hot Topic. :o

This is by far the most fitting of Batman.

My favorite Batman song is U2's, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Batman. It only works on the level that, at the time, Batman was a Hollywood pop culture superstar. Forever was the height of its pop-iness.

It's easily the best Batman movie song, ever.

Favorite Prominent Bat-Song IS "Face to Face" yes...

But my FAVORITE Bat-Song of them ALL has to be Prince's "Electric Chair." What a great beat, I can't help but rock out to it no matter where I am.

Honorable mention goes to Moloko's "Fun For Me" off of the "B&R" soundtrack, I like that one as well...

This is how I rank my 15 favorite Bat-Songs:

1: Electric Chair (B89)
2: Face to Face (BR)
3: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (BF)
4: I Never Even Told You (MOTP)
5: Scandalous (B89)
6: Fun For Me (B&R)
7: Crash (BB:ROTJ)
8: Kiss From A Rose (BF)
9: Partyman (B89)
10: BATDANCE (B89)
11: Look Into My Eyes (B&R)
12: The End is The Beginning is The End (B&R)
13: The Passenger (BF)
14: Foolish Games (B&R)
15: Gotham City (B&R)

Could go on, but I don't wanna bore by ranking EVERY Bat-Song.

CFE

i saw a used copy of the B&R soundtrack in stores, and i just had to sample it in FYE, and i listened briefly to the song gotham city by r kelly, and LOL! it was so damn stupid, the lyrics are so anti-batman. something like "im oooooout in the midst of criiiime, city of LOOOVE city of HOOPE city of PEEEACE!" LMFAO, oh yeah thats REALLY what gotham city is. i guess for B&R gotham city a nice friendly place lol.

Agree completely. "If a man is considered guilty for what goes on in his mind then give me the electric chair for ALL MY FUTURE CRIMES OOOOH!!" :woot:

14: Foolish Games (B&R)

Yeah, I love that as well. Really has nothing whatsover to do with B&R, but still....

It's R. Kelly, man. He writes overly sentimental ballads (I Believe I Can Fly and Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone). If he wrote a song about Bin Laden, it would be uplifting and teary-eyed.

It's an amazing song. Likely my favourite song from any of the Batman movies. I like a lot of Siouxsie and the Banshees other music, to. But Face to Face fits Batman Returns and the Bruce/Selina relationship so well. The music video for the song is great, too.

I like Face to Face song but I love Kiss From A Rose by Seal.

that song is great. i only like a few r. kelly songs (can't stand his thuggish club crap), and this is one of them.

R. Kelly's song doesn't really fit the overall spirit of Batman, but it does however fit that movie, and not including all of that ... "Gotham City" by R. Kelly is just simply put: OUTSTANDING. Just as pretty much everything else he does is top notch. Best R and B artist in the biz. It's such a good song, that he remixed it to not include the Gotham City and Batman refrences for his "Best Of" album.

But to the thread topic, I always found Batman Forever to have had the best music inspired by songs. I thought "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" and "Kiss From A Rose" were incredible songs. And still my favorite of the series. They don't directly refer to Batman and the like, but the mood of the songs just seem to fit.

yeah those songs may not have been Batman songs, but they fit the tone of the movie. and i love the u2 song, so awsome. if not good batman songs, they are just great songs by themselves, but they certainly upped the movie cuz they just rocked.
