Nickelodeon has announced a live-action adaptation of The Fairly OddParents is in production, and is set to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2011. Titled A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner, the movie will feature Drake & Josh star Drake Bell as a grown-up Timmy Turner; Daniella Monet as Tootie; and Jason Alexander and Cheryl Hines as Cosmo and Wanda, Timmy's fairy godparents. The plot of the movie features a 23-year old Timmy still in fifth grade because a child will lose his fairy godparents as soon as he "grows up." Things are complicated by a grown-up Tootie returning to town as a gorgeous grown-up and by Hugh J. Magnate (Steven Weber) attempting to capture Cosmo and Wanda for his own nefarious purposes.

That's....so stupid. They could have made an animated movie instead....

Here's a thought...what the hell is Mr. Crocker going to look like?! Is his ear going to be on his neck?

this actually could have been good if they had the kid from diary of a wimpy kid as timmy and steve carell as cosmo but oh well...this is not the first time nickelodeon has screwed up on a adaptaion

I rather see a Jimmy Neutron live action movie...

Is this because Cartoon Network did live action Ben 10 and Scooby-Doo atrocities?

Well... the Ben 10 ones are not theatrical releases...

At least Scooby Doo made it to movie 2

23 year old Timmy still in Fifth grade....that alone will at least get me to tune in for a few minutes.

I feel like The Rock should be in this for some reason.

If any of the Cartoon Network property that should be made into a live action film it should be Samurai Jack!

Samurai Jack would be great!

This looks really dumb. Could have worked if a kid played Timmy...but a 23 year old Timmy in 5th grade!?!?

Samurai JJack´s storyline wasn´t even concluded which is really sad, they´ve been planning a film of it for a long time.

There is a movie of that already in the works that J.J. Abrams is producing (dead serious), but it's going to be a CG/regular animation film.

I like the show and all...but thems some ****** cast choices....Drake Bell? Jason Alexander? WTF?
