Seth McFarlane (Hellboy 2: The Golden Army) spoke with Filmdrunk.com and confirmed that there will be a "Family Guy" movie! He said they alredy know how the movie's going to be, and are currently working on a way to make it feel like a real movie, not an extended episode of the TV series, like he tought The Simpsons movie was. And he said a Live-Action version is not impossible, actually, it's very possible...

What do you think? :woot:

I'm all up for a Family Guy movie.

I'm glad Seth recognized the flaw with The Simpsons movie feeling like an extended episode, and is going to try and avoid that with this movie.

While I do believe there will be a Family Guy movie, I also believe McFarlane is largely talking out of his ass.

I can't see a Family Guy movie being anything more than an extended episode of the show.

Wonderful..... 25 minutes of plot, 100 minutes of pop culture references.

Cant wait. :o

But I don't think "Family Guy" should be Live-Action. Much like "The Simpsons" and "American Dad", it belongs to animation. A movie wouldn't be able to make all the insaneties the show is. Like the Chicken fights.

And damn, I want a bid-budget Chicken Fight!

Despite the show's lack of quality as of late, I'll look into this.

IMO, as The Simpsons has fallen (the movie was great though), Family Guy has risen.

A Live-Action movie would be crap though.

It won't be any better than the lame "______ Movie" pieces of ****.:down

this will feel like an extended episode but I'm still in.

while i havnt liked the show lately ill still check this out. hopefully it will make up for the last few seasons.

Great, now instead of the same joking running on for four minutes, it will be twenty. I mean seriously, I loved Family Guy seasons 1-3, and thought they got back on board perfectly with the fantastic "North by North Quahog," but not much going well since then, imo.

The episode with the subplot being the return of the Star Trek:TNG cast was funny, but the preachy plot ruined it for me.

The world will have failed me if they don't cast Micheal Moore as Peter

This is SUPER old news. MacFarlene said this a YEAR ago. He even said that the movie was gonna be something they couldn't do on TV. In other words...it'd be R like South Park movie.

I think that out of all the theatrical movies based on the 90s primetime animated series', (The Simpsons, South Park, etc.) the one that did the best job of not being an extended episode was Beavis And Butt-head Do America.

I disagree. That honour goes to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm for Batman: TAS.

It's like this guy speaks for me, cause I was thinking the same thing.

South Park was actually an example of a cartoon film being anyting but a movie-length episode. That felt like I was watching a movie.
