le sigh

I am not making this up.

A 6-year-old boy's family is accused of conspiring to have him kidnapped because he was "too nice" to people in the hopes that he would learn about "stranger danger," according to police in Lincoln County, Missouri.

Sheriff's deputies arrested the boy's mother, Elizabeth Hupp, 25; his grandmother, Rose Brewer, 58; his aunt, Denise Kroutil, 38; and, Nathan Wynn Firoved, 23, on Wednesday.

Kroutil had asked Firoved, a co-worker, to kidnap her 6-year-old nephew to "scare" him because he was "too nice" to people, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Firoved allegedly lured the boy into his truck on Monday, police said. While inside the truck, Firoved told the boy he would never "see his mommy again" and that he would be "nailed to the wall of a shed."

After the boy started to cry, police said Firoved showed him a handgun and said he would be hurt if he did not stop crying.

Firoved bound the boy's hands and feet with plastic bags and covered his face as they drove, police said. They eventually stopped at the boy's home, where he was taken into the basement.

According to a statement released by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Kroutil took off the boy's pants and told him that he could be sold into "sex slavery." She allegedly was upset that he did not try resisting her.

The boy was eventually unbound and led upstairs, where his family lectured him about "stranger danger," according to police. Investigators believe the incident lasted about four hours.

Family members told police their intent was to educate the boy and felt they did nothing wrong, according to the sheriff's statement.

The boy later told school officials about the incident, who contacted the Division of Family Services, police said. He was placed into protective custody.

Firoved, Brewer and Kroutil have been charged with felony kidnapping, felonious restraint, and felony abuse and neglect of a child, police said. Hupp is charged with felony kidnapping and felony abuse and neglect of a child.

They all remain in police custody under a $250,000 cash bond each. They are scheduled to have arraignment hearings this morning.

that is such bulls**t of the parents to pull a stunt like that...

Let's traumatize the child for his own good. Therapy bills and a lifelong mistrust of his entire family is totally worth it.

What the hell is wrong with people.......

My God. They would've got their point across with telling the boy he wouldn't see his Mommy but all that other stuff was way way too far and says more about them than anything

That is quite possibly the absolute worst parenting I have ever had the misfortune to read about. I hope those people do time and that child is placed in a home that has normal people to raise him. Sadly the damage from this is done, I mean really, what 6 year old kid isn't nice to people?

This whole incident gives staged instructional child abductions a bad name.

I'd just read mine Game of Thrones, replacing the naughty bits with "and they loved each other very much."

Good god thats horrible.

Although I do have to say that something like that would definitely work in stopping a kid from ever getting into a car with a stranger. On the other hand it'd also cause him a good bit of emotional scarring which could eventually lead to behavioral problems in the near future. Perfect case for that idiom, "Trying to crack a nut with a sledgehammer."

What a tremendous failing in parenting. I dont think his mother or grandmother should have any more say in how hes raised. Hopefully he has other relatives that can care for him that arent so incredibly stupid.

Not just a failure in parenting but a failure on the co-worker's part to go along with it instead of informing the police about it.

"Kidnapping and giving your own Kid Post traumatic Stress Disorder!!"

Sometimes at work if you want to get ahead, you've got to show everyone you're a team player. Sign up for company softball, buy some band candy, pretend to be a sadistic sex-trafficking pedophile, wear a funny tie on Funny Tie Friday, that's just the way of the modern America workplace.

I dunno, high school is going to be hell if he's still wearing that cape.
Hahahaha! that was in the good old days like with me whiskey!(man i got stories about wearing Xmen tshirts!) this is the time of a Superhero renaissance! every tom dick and Jane wears em now!
i mean now you have people changing their face to look like the RED SKULL! Hahahaha!:cwink:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!maybe this kids FAMILY should have got the RED SKULL dude to Kidnap him!! Now that would have seriously JACKED HIM up even more!!!

hahahahah me too Whiskey!i wish i can unseen that crazy ^&*!! damn i think all these people are drinking too much paint thinner these days!! Sheesh!

They may have thought they were protecting him, but they went way overboard.

I mean, seriously, telling him he's gonna be nailed to a wall? Taking his pants off and telling him he's gonna be sold into sex slavery??

And apparently that last part was his aunt, so it can't be blamed on the co-worker getting carried away playing his role.

Who tells a six-year-old about sex slavery?

Yea, they went way too far with this.
