Ausiello: Holy Kryptonite, yes! For those of you who didn't see the Super prattle I posted yesterday in the Ausiello Report, Jimmy Olsen will make his eagerly anticipated debut in the season premiere, and he's going to look a lot like Veronica Mars' ex, Troy Vandegraff (aka, actor Aaron Ashmore). Additionally, several of my Super moles now confirm that Jimmy is definitely being eyed as a love interest for Chloe. Now, here's the other big news I teased about in AR: Sources say that a pivotal comic-book character will show up this season — and it's got "fanboy orgasm" written all over it. Can't say more, but expect an announcement very soon (like, perhaps, in next week's issue of TV Guide magazine)

Please god tell me its Bruce Wayne

If it is Bruce Wayne, that would cause a MAJOR fan reaction. We've waited for that for a LONG time and- if I recall- the thing that blocked it was Batman Begins. But, now that that's out of the way- here we come Bruce Wayne!!!!!

If it isn't, possibly: Metallo, Bizzaro, Darksheid, Doomsday, etc.

On the other hand I seem to remember where someone asked about Oliver Queen or MM, to which he replied do you have spies in the writers room. So I'd look for them but not Bruce.

That is the same as I was thinking Zing. We have dubenked that idea for so long, it'll be really cool to actually see it happen. I can only think of a couple of things that would cause that reaction from fans.

seriously though, I never got the big hub bub about Wayne showing up on the show. It's gonna be some unnamed actor that we've most likely never heard of (though Wes Bentley would be cool) who is called Bruce Wayne. It's not like he has any super powers like Flash, Aquaman or Cyborg did.... He's just gonna be like hanging out and brooding and tell Clark that he's "not all that."

I guess I can see the MM or Oliver Queen thing though. Isn't MM rumored to be the new sheriff? And, truly.. the general public isn't really aware of who those characters are, but the fanboys would certainly squee themselves silly. Of course, they're fanboys, it doesn't take much.
