Fanfilm related questions

OK I have seen a lot of fanfilms about Batman online and I am in the process of writing one myself. But I have a few questions.

1)If I were to convince a local theatre to show the film, could I even show the film legally? If it was non profit of course.

2) If I did want to charge for the film at a local theatre, who would I contact to discuss this with? I would think someone at DC, or would I have to get in contact with whoever owns the movie rights to Batman?

Any help with these questions would be useful! Oh and lemme know if you want to know where I'm going with the script.

i'm planning on doing a little film of my own and i'm wondering the same things you are.


there's this place near where i live where they show low- bugdet movies, if you had a place like that you could publish it there. or you could publish it in your school or something.
