Ok, this is a thread for fans of any or all of the Spider-Man movies. And let me stress that this is a positive comments only thread. If you've got criticisms, save them for the plethora of other threads where you can voice and discuss them. I'm not a fan of Spider-Man 3, but I'm only going to discuss the things I liked about it in this thread.

Ok, so lets talk about your favorite moments, fight scenes, lines, characters, villains, homages to the comics etc. Anything and everything you enjoyed about the movies.

I loved Raimi's films. Id like to see those screencaps in hi res.

You all know I love these films.

The train scene from SM2 remains my favorite action piece from any comic book movie to date.

It's easily the best fight sequence of the trilogy, in my opinion. Both Spidey and Doc Ock really get to show off their battle prowess. Combined with the fact that they're fighting on a speeding train, with Ock constantly putting innocent lives in danger, you have the makings for a thrilling action piece.

Capped off with Doc Ock speeding up the train and ripping out the brakes, a classic Doc Ock tactic. Putting innocents in danger in order to distract Spider-Man so Ock can gain the advantage.

Great pics and thread! The train scene = best action scene in a comic book film ever!

:woot::woot::woot: my personal favorite transformation ever:yay:

I wish Webb & Others luck, but It's still hard for me to get over the Reboot.

Lately I've been posting up videos of young's SM3 score, why couldn't sony release this again?:o

I liked Young's score. I think Elfman's score was better, but Young did a good job.

All the villain transformation scenes, save for Harry's because it was so brief [he just steps out of the gas chamber], and the Sandman one is a bit silly because the scientists are morons ["It's probably a bird"]. But the transformation itself look superb. And the birth of Sandman scene is one of the best scenes in the trilogy. It's beautiful.

Norman's, Octavius', and Brock's were really intense, with great build ups to them, as you know something terrible is going to happen. I especially liked Doc Ock's, because of Spidey's intervention, Otto foreshadowing his dark side when he viciously assaults Spidey, the gruesome death of Rosie Octavius, and the fusion ball going haywire was just cool.

:hehe:

Even as a fan of 3, I'll admit, the whole thing would probably be better if that short "it's a bird" part was cut:o. Of all the SM3 parodies, this is my favorite. the sandman issue is in it too, maybe you'll get a kick out of it :

I remember seeing SM1 and having the crap scared outta me 3 times - all by Dafoe himself

A) The transformation where his eyes bulge
B) The 1/2 of a second flashback when he wakes up in his penthouse
C) When peter's in the hospitial and we just pan to the shot of gobby going AAAAHHHHH!

Oh yeah, the frights in the movies. The AHHHHH one Peter dreams about never got me personally, but the other two did for sure. In Spider-Man 2, when Ock's tentacle pops up suddenly over the balcony and knocks Harry back got me. And in Spider-Man 3, when Harry appears in MJ's apartment and grabs her and pins her to the wall.

They're all the scares that got me upon first viewings.

Ok, topic for discussion: Favorite scenes or quotes with Jonah Jameson? I think my all time favorite is at the end of SM-2, at the wedding, when everyone realizes John has been jilted at the altar, and we see Jonah with his wife, and Jonah says:

Jonah: "Call Deborah"
Mrs Jameson: "The caterer?"
Jonah: "Tell her not to open the caviar"
*Mrs Jameson glares at him*

LOL! His son's just had his heart broken, and all Jonah is concerned about is saving on the catering costs :hehe:

:hehe: I personally think JJJ had the best quotes in 3, but My favorite was in SM2 :

Peter : I'd like a Raise.
JJJ : :lmao: ..........are you serious?

:awesome:

LOL! That was a great one. I also loved the naming of Doc Ock from that scene.

Jonah: "What are we going to call this guy?"
Hoffman: "Dr Octopus?"
Jonah: "That's crap"
Hoffman: "Science Squid?"
Jonah: "Crap"
Hoffman: "Dr Strange?"
Jonah: "That's pretty good"
*Hoffman smiles proudly*
Jonah: "But it's taken. Wait wait, I got it: Dr Octopus"
Hoffman: "But......I like it"
Jonah: "Of course you do. Dr Octopus, new villain in town....'Doc Ock'"
Hoffman: "Genius"
Jonah: "What are you looking for, a raise? Get out"

Also random question, but is this MJ's mother:

Presumably, yes. I always assumed it was.
Another JJJ bit that I loved:
Hoffman: "We have a page 6 problem."
JJJ: "We have a page one problem. Shut up."
H: "They're really important clients, they can't wait."
J: "They're about to."

I also thought it was hilarious how Hoffman could be in the room & JJJ wouldn't even notice him unless he spoke.

JJJ : Doesn't anyone care about what I want?
Hoffman : I do!
JJJ : Shutup. Getout.

My favorite scene in Spider-Man 2? I could not possibly choose just one. There's too many great ones. Some of my favorites that I find myself rewinding to watch again when I watch the movie are:

- Octavius's demonstration scene
- Ock's hospital massacre. Probably the most violent scene in the whole trilogy. Those fingernails scraping on the floor......EEEEEK!!!!!
- Otto's turn to villainy in his new lair. "I couldn't have miscalculated. It was working, wasn't it.......YESSSSS!!!!"
- The bank/building wall battle between Spidey and Ock
- The Planetarium party. The Parker luck is in full force here. Peter gets dumped on by MJ, slapped by Harry, watches MJ get engaged to John.....he can't even catch a drink or an h'or dourve from any of the party trays!
- Peter's confession to Aunt May about his role in Ben's death. Very powerful.
- Ock and Harry make a deal
- The cafe scene with Doc Ock, Peter, and MJ
- Basically everything from the beginning of the Clock tower fight, right to the end...."Go get 'em, tiger"

I don't cry often, so it takes quite alot to get me to cry, but I did get teary eyed with some scenes in this film. Such as Harry's death, Peter talking to uncle Ben in the dream sequeance in S-M2, etc. I also got teary eyed at the score Particular when peter says "you once spoke to me about intellegince." It's just a great score. The part I'm talking about begins at :34 and ends at 1:04.

The Ock hospital slaughter was CLEARLY influenced by Sam's "Evil Dead" roots-something I sould've known at the time had I seen the movie then.
