I deleted almost 2 pages of people talking about what they liked and didn't like in other comic book movies with no comparisons to the FF and also lots of talk ragging on other posters.....this is not my first rodeo.

neither is it mine. I just didn't see a problem, i just saw comparisons. Not meaning anything by it.. I just didn't see anything as an issue personally is all. not trying to step on any toes by any means.

If you're not planning on seeing this film, why are you on here in the forum for it discussing it? No trailers, reviews or word of mouth will persuade you to give it a chance, so why bother to remain active in this forum?

Yes....just as they should welcome the trolls who intend to watch the movie and constantly remind them that they are ignoring the history of the characters with this movie. If I go into the AOU forum and say the whole movie looks like garbage, I doubt people there would welcome it. That would be the very definition of trolling.

There's no intelligent discussion when trolling is present. A person says "Johnny looks great in this shot" and gets a reply like "Marvel would do Johnny right. This Johnny blows" and all civility goes out the window.

This whole forum is a turn off because of the people that come here to bash. Heck, I go to other parts of the Hype and there's people who like FF that would rather discuss FF elsewhere because of how prevalent trolling is here in the FF forum.

My rule is usually simple, don't jump to conclusions early on in production. You can be against the movie but don't go overboard with it.

There are actully people who want to see this film.For those who don't want to see it it still baffles me why spend so much time In board about film you have no Intrest In seeing.

Yeah it's quite strange. They devote more time and energy toward the movie than those looking forward to it from what ive seen.

Personally if I'm not interested in a movie I forget it and leave it for those actually interested. I assume that's what most people do.

I think the new Terminator looks crap which is why you don't see me in that thread. I wouldn't see the point of going there to talk bad about it everyday (once, twice even a few times over the months fine but not everyday) when it'll not only achieve nothing but well I'd be a nuisance to those who are excited for it.

Afterall why waste minutes, days, weeks even months of ones life obsessing over something if you don't like it and are certain you won't?

For the record I'm not saying people shouldn't post their negative views, not at all, in fact I've relied to some negative views that were well put and valid concerns, what I'm saying but that I find it a waste of time and energy to do so about something you hate continually, over and over and over for months. Not saying it shouldn't happen or people shouldn't be allowed to voice that just that I view that as an exercise in futility)

I'm excited to see it . Another good summer for movies I'm interested in:

Avengers 2, Jurassic World, Terminator 5, Ant-Man, M:I 5 and Fan4.

Yeah it's a pretty cool line up this year

The thing is, with all things in life.. majority seems to rule.. if 90% favor it.. the 10% who dont will be drowned out.. same thing when more dislike something.. and drown out those who like something... either way the smaller percentile is going to be like salmon swimming up stream.

if things are 50/50.. well.. those are the rare wild cards.. where it either ends up as a civil debate.. or a screaming match until the thread closes...

right now.. i'd wager this is more 70% dislike 30% favor. Though, it has been on the steady incline for the favoring side since they've begun promoting the film

It's kind of funny how this movie's supporters can't defend the movie on its own merits, and instead have to resort to accusing all the naysayers as being "MCU fanboys" who just can't stand Fox.

I definitely wouldn't consider myself to be a MCU fanboy. I personally like X2 and X-Men: DOFP more than anything out of the MCU. I dislike what I've seen from this movie so far for reasons already stated.

Well, I for one am a huge fan of the MCU, and think this movie looks very good. Why? Because I have yet to see anything to give basis to the "fact" so many people keep peddling around that "this isn't the Fantastic Four".

When the team first got their powers, they weren't immediatly transformed into the happy-go-lucky adventures everyone thinks of them as. They were scared at first, but quickly took to becoming heroes in the span of one comic, because it was the 60s and they didn't have any time for in-depth story telling. This movie is the origin of the F4, telling how they overcame viewing their powers as terrifying and coming together as a family to save the world. I have no reason to doubt that by the end of the movie they will become the F4 we all know and love.

I know I'm in the vast vast vast minority, but I kinda liked those movies... and still do. Maybe it's because they came out when I was young and were fun, idk. But I definitely welcome this change. There is a reason the movies made me an X-fan and not a F4 fan.

Based on what evidence? Considering it is a major influence of this movie, i would say Ultimate Fantastic Four's origin has clearly stayed relevant.

That dealing with their powers, which looks to be the second act from the trailers, is something I'm really looking forward to. Only ones I can think of thst have touched on it were brief scenes played for laughs in ASM and Origins.

Waking up with crazy perhaps uncontrollable abilities would be scary and worrying and something a person has to adapt to and it's just really shorting hat with so many CBMs it hsnt been explored fully yet.

Ironically this grandstanding is more of a derailment to the forum than any contempt I may have of this film's progress....

This is a valid criticism of this section and the way it's managed imo.

That in my view one of the reasons why other members don't hang around here much. They come to chat when trailers or posters drop then leave shortly after as its just not welcome here to anticipate the movie.

Yeah. He's basically referencing those who hated him before seeing him in any photos or footage to judge.
