You were trying to connect something I said in jest as if it was my moral compass to how I teach the young children I know?

Really?

FFINO supporters seem desperate to discredit anyone who doesn't agree with them.

So you DON'T think it is ok to sneak into the wrong screening? You were just joking? That's good to hear. Because others seem to think it is ok. Enjoy the movie!

I drew a face on my thumb and showed it the trailer. It gave the trailer a thumb's down. I didn't say a word, I swear!

It's fine if you don't like film jus like i didn't Iron man 3,Star trek Into Darkness, man of steel, and thor the dark world or don't want to see it like me with GOTG and Ant-man
but it's *****e to say you will buy ticket for another film to see FF.

I still think it's crazy to spend all time In section of film you have no Intrest In.I sure in hell didn't go in sections of films i mentioned as not liking or no intrest in to bash them.

People who actully want to see this film are often scared off by those who keep wanting to come here to bash film. They have every right to dislike film but others have right to be excited for film.

People who are anticipating this movie are more than welcome to post here, I have yet to see someone berated or patronized for simply expressing excitement. Just because a lot of the regular posters here share differing view points does not mean it is hostile, that is, again, making things up. Not to mention that I find that the defenders spend most of their time trying to argue against the hostility and combat the negative opinions as opposed to actually expressing their own thoughts and view points on the movie itself.
Kids aren't supposed to enjoy the movie. According to Teller, this movie is not for them.

:hehe:
Welcome back! You scared me for a minute.

I've had a busy few weeks but my schedule is winding down for the time being, I'll try and come around more often lol.

Right now, at this moment, after seeing the trailer, I want to see the film, but I don't feel the slightest bit intimidated by those who don't.

It's just a discussion forum. What is there to be scared of? If anyone is actually abusive, the mods will take care of it, but someone saying they think the film will suck doesn't hurt anybody.

Psst. Hey kid.

You're not going to see that new Fantastic Four movie are you?

Nobody cool is watching it. You want to be cool don't you?

Ah, peer pressure. We should do an after school special about just saying Yes to the Fantastic Four. What country star can sing the song at the end?

As a Fantastic Four fan since I was a kid (read my first FF book back in the 1970's and it was easily among my favourite books at the time), I am naturally inclined to be interested in any film based upon them. I don't have to like that film though, and if I don't like what I am seeing I will say so.

Tbh, among all the CBM's that have come and gone since I was a kid the FF is the one I have wanted to see done well the most. It's why I have posted more in the FF film forums at the hype down the years than for any others (and I like plenty of other characters).

Since the film has polarised opinions it is inevitable that those for and against will bump heads from time to time. This is an open discussion board after all.

But here is a suggestion for any positive people who do not like reading the negative comments or might genuinely feel scared off from posting by them: Rack up a list of the naysayers here you find genuinely objectionable and add them to your 'ignore' list, then you won't have to read what they are saying.

This can work the other way too of course (anyone against who doesn't care for something a positive poster might say can do the same if they want).

Personally, I can live with all the comments one way or another. Anything truly out of order will be dealt with by the mods.

Stan Lee liked the trailer!

Quit making up stuff. I'm reporting your post, because right now you are just making up stuff whole cloth. The mods have made it clear what can and can't be said. You've been told numerous times to knock it off, and still you continue.

To be fair, I think I may have confused MakeMineMarvel with MarvelRobbins. I'm not sure if MR was involved in the "don't post here if you don't like the film so people can enjoy the film" thing from yesterday or not.

Needless to say MR, multiple warnings were given out yesterday, and they apply to both sides, anyone can state any opinion on the film as long as they are civil about it. No one is telling you not to post here. No one is telling you not to see the film. At the same time I said this yesterday, the majority people who are speaking out in opposition to the films are huge Fantastic Four fans, and we do not like the direction of the film.

I mean welcome back to the boycott. For awhile you seemed like you were going to be there front row when this thing opens up.

The new trailer is exciting. I personally can't wait.

I'm kind of surprised that they promoted the movie on Kimmel, a ABC/Disney owned show, and showed the entire trailer.

Is it possible that Fox and Marvel came to some type of agreement and we just don't know it yet?

I will LOL if Nick Fury or Tony Stark showed up in a after credits scene in FF.

Why wouldn't they? Imagine if Fox told Disney they won't let Marvel promote A:AoU on Fox. It's a business and it will hurt both sides if they went down that road. I think there's games of chess being played but little things, nothing major.

Just a theory, but what if part of the X-Men television show deal is having THIS Fantastic Four in the MCU. Like the Sony deal, Marvel will get to use this team and all the characters that come with this team, but Fox will continue to produce/bank roll the standalone Fantastic Four films? That way they don't have to merge the FF with X-Men, which will make the FF less special, yet have the FF in a cinematic universe that is extremely popular. And Donner and Fiege will co-produce the films moving on?

Fox gets the X-Men television show and FF in a share cinematic universe, and Marvel gets an FF (that they can manage), plus Silver Surfer, Super Skrull, and Galactus for Infinity War.

Not saying Marvel doesn't care about the F4 because they do but I think they are more interested in the characters around them. The Silver Surfer, Galactus, Dr. Doom.....Those alone could be franchises. If this film was to bomb, no way would Marvel bring these guys into their MCU. They'd reboot it like the Spiderman reboot. I don't think they'd have an origin though, they'd just appear in films. Isn't it merchandising that Fox wants from Marvel? Which I say no way that happens. Marvel would be fools to do so.

I stuck around through the first movie with Albafan as my name....lmao, if I can get through that, anyone can.

Thing is, would the F4 really work without an origin. A highly public group like them can't really just pop up in the MCU.

I'm starting to think the odds on reaching a deal on the TV show are getting pretty slim. Since the announcement that a deal was in negotiation, Marvel has released the extremely well received Daredevil program, announced an AOS spinoff and another new program with John Ridley. Unless they receive a Godfather type offer from FOX, my thinking is that Marvel will opt to retain their exclusive rights to Marvel TV programming.

To be honest, this seems to the only site where I have seen a lot of people really positive about this movie. I've been to yahoo, youtube, and that other site and it's mostly negative stuff but there are people here who literally like everything about this movie. I was even shocked when I went to youtube where this thing got like 15,000 likes and maybe 1000 dislikes but yet if you read the comments, most are overwhelmingly negative with the biggest complaint of it being yet another origin story. I don't get that because of all the things to complain about with this film, the last thing I see wrong with it is an origin story.

Fox was being arses anyway. Marvel offered them Daredevil in exchange for SS and Galactus so they could use them for Infinity Wars but they just said no. Didn't Fox let Sony use one of their characters for Spiderman? I just think that kind of soured Marvel/Fox's relationship even more than it always was.
