I think that after watching the bootleg X-Men trailer, SS and BvS's trailers I just can't deal with how half assed this project looks anymore. There is no reason for it at all. If Fox wanted to do a rights grab, fine do one but don't half ass it then pump money into it after realizing that you ****ed up. Greenlight the film with the budget it actually requires and hire a real director to do it, not some crying man-baby.

I just checked the ticket pre-sales on my theater's site and they list this as being 105 minutes long. They're never wrong about that, so yeah... I'm getting Tom Rothman Fox era flashbacks with that runtime. At least make it 2 hours.

Yep. And a decent portion of that 1 hr 45 minutes is going to be devoted to no powers and government "we need to use them for military stuff/you can't use us for military stuff".

And Domashev is strapped to a table until the end.

X2 started with Nightcrawler at the Whie House, Avengers started with Loki taking the Cube, Ultron started with the assault on Hydra, DOFP started with future mutants vs. Sentinels, and the third FF movie starts with flashbacks to Reed as a kid and a prolonged science experiment!
Way to rope in the audience 30-35? minutes with no action in what is in effect your 3rd Ff movie.

I hope to god if MCU ever gets the franchise back--they start it with a awesome action sequence and as Reed perhaps injured, has a life flashing before his experience going right into the classic origin--which should be visually stuning in itself.

10 minutes is going to be credits so it's a 90 minute movie. That's fine for a fast paced comedy or an intimate drama but very rather short for an origin SH movie that starts when they're children.

And never mind the reshoots that apparently changed a 1/3 of the movie, according to rumor.

Rushed, boring, disjointed are going to probably be showing up in many reviews.

Oh, they returned to the "good" old " let's cut 30 minutes of a 2 hours movie so we can have more showing per day " policy ?

Wait, you don't think the "big ass sunroof" line is funny? Or the "White guys are so lame!" missed fist bump? What about MBJ fiddling around with his office chair? "Maybe sooner"? "Us us"? "Not really"? The response of "Thanks" to "You're insane"?

I could enjoy that more if the guy who should be the most frightening character in the history of film wasn't sitting there looking like a doofus.

I think the problem all the FF movies have had is that they all try to tie Doom to the team's origins. Really, I think Doom is best saved for a sequel, so we can focus entirely on him, rather than try to tell what should really be two separate stories together. It's why I think that a solo movie for Doom would be great - you could go full on with Latveria, the sorcery, Mephisto and all, and maybe have Reed in there for a cameo, to establish that connection. That way everything is set up for the FF to meet Doom, and not have to worry about tying everything together for the origins.
