No. I have said many times....from what I have seen and heard so far from this production, I will not give one penny to FOX to see it. And before someone says I am anti FOX....I have seen every X-Man movie in the theater and own every X-Man movie on DVD (I just recently double dipped by buying XM:DOFPtRC) I am also looking forward to the upcoming X-Men movies and Deadpool movie. But they will not get one red cent from me for this FF movie.
You watched Origins in theaters!?

That is the only one I skipped in theaters. Also the only one I don't own on DVD or blu ray.

I try to see every comic book movie in the theaters....and I have almost every comic related movie since the 1930's on DVD (either studio released or burned to DVD by me off of cable). Sometimes I don't get the chance to see one at the theater, for various reasons, but I try to see them all. There have only been a few that I have on purpose refused to see at the theaters and refused to but the DVD at the store (I will buy anything months or years after it's official release when I find it used at HALF PRICE BOOKS). Those of you who have seen my lists of movies watched know that I watch everything I can get my hands on...it just doesn't mean that I paid or paid the original producing studio to watch it.

Yeah, I have a lot of DVDs and blurays that I wouldn't if not for the bargain bin. I remember you once saying you almost never don't finish a movie, so it makes sense.

Out of curiosity, what are the select few?

I could never bring myself to purchase XMO on DVD. Ever. Period.

My 14 year old self thought the film wasn't that bad back then when I first saw it in theaters. Saw it on FX for the first time in a while a couple months ago. Oh lord... ._.

I rented Origins and catch it on FX every once in a while. That is more then enough for me. Poor Lynn Collins. She never got the break she deserved.

THE SPIRIT (2008) I have been a fan of his since the early 70's. I own the '87 TV movie and like it for what it was. But when I started hearing what Miller was planning for his movie....I had to boycott it. I bought a used DVD a few years later and watched it. OH....MY....GOD. Will Eisner had to be spinning in his grave for that abomination.

THE GREEN HORNET (2011) I have been a fan of the Hornet since mid 60's. I was lucky enough to be able to see one of the 40's serials and then later see the fantastic '66 series with Bruce Lee in it's original run. So when Seth Rogan announced he was going to make a version....I almost threw up. Couple of years later I bought a used DVD of his movie....and then did throw up.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 (2014) I love Spidey. I own all types of Spidey related stuff. I have the Hammond TV series from the 70's, I have the Japanese live action Spider-Man series. But after seeing pictures from the movie I had to boycott it. I saw it about a year later....it was atrocious. I can sit through Raimi's SM3 any time.....so far I haven't had the urge to watch ASM2 again.

Also, I'm not sure if this was posted but once again, it's a reason to hope the film is good and if reviews are positive, I will be paying up:

Domashev can be redeemed in a sequel. Just say that he grafted new mechanical parts on to himself and have him look like FF 350 Doom

There is nothing I've seen that's unsalvagable in the next go-around, particularly if Marvel and Fox are interested in merging universes.

Keep in mind that if this bombs and the rights revert to Marvel, Marvel will go that much harder on the X-Men to the point of canceling their comics and offering C&Ds to anyone still selling X-Men merch. I'm hoping this film ins't terrible since it would increase the chances of Fox and Marvel working out a deal to do some sort of event film which will bring everyone together. If it fails, Marvel will just keep spiting X-Men fans and Fox will continue to clench the X-Men rights that much harder.

The Spirit is fascinating. I wasn't familiar with the Spirit before the film was announced. I familiarized myself with the source material, because I was a fan of the Sin City film and I thought this would be more of the same. I was shocked to see how different the tone was. After seeing the film on cable, yeah. I am sorry to you long term fans.

Green Hornet, I still haven't seen and have no desire to see. The advertising told me everything I ever needed to know.

I have never seen a film divide a fanbase like TASM2. Some swear by it, others hate it with a passion.

The Spirit is the worst thing ever. I just think it's beyond terrible.

I liked Green Hornet. Sue me.

I know TASM 2 has it's fans and I respect differing opinions but I strongly dislike the film.

I hate TASM2 with a fiery passion. The amount of vitriol I see here towards FF is what I felt after watching TASM2 in theaters.

I didn't see any of those films in theaters except ASM2. Luckily I went in with low expectations. SM3 was the most disappointing film I ever saw along with FF2.

If people are a fan of Seth Rogen, then I expect they will like GH. I personally don't like him one bit. The GH movie is OK....when Seth is absent...but since he is the title character, he is in it a lot, so it ruins the movie for me.

The Spirit is what astounds me. Miller claims he is a huge fan and made the movie as a tribute to him. I ask him....exactly what comics of the Spirit did you read? Denny Colt is a normal guy. No superpowers. No magical powers. just a tough good man who fights crime. He is a cop on a case, shot and left for dead. He decides to act like he is dead, and after his wounds heal he puts on a mask and fights crime, and in the course of this women swoon for his combination of good looks, strength, and being a sweet guy who is nice to women and children........Miller decided to make him scientifically resirected from the dead, have Wolverine's healing abilities, and now have a pheromone power that makes women throw themselves at him.

TASM is an unfortunate situation. Great actors and performances. But goddamnit Orci/Kurtzman. And Origins still gave me Shrieber as Sabertooth.

I suspect, worst case scenario, I will still enjoy the performances.

If you don't like Rogen you are definitely not going to be feeling the movie I agree.

I actually partly agree with you on the Rogen issue. I don't dislike Rogen but I don't think he can act dramatically at all so I think GH would have been better with a lead who could. His miscasting does hurt the movie.

If forgettable is terrible, then I agree about the Spirit. I just literally don't remember anything about that film. All I remember was seeing it in the theaters, and that Samuel L. Jackson was in it. I don't remember anything else. I don't know what the plot was, who the characters were.

I even remember the day I went to see it, because my car had just broke down, and it was going to be like 4 grand to rebuild the engine, because the oil pump went out and I had a damaged cylinder head. I was pissed off, so I thought I'd go see a movie to get my mind off things, but I don't remember a damn thing about the movie.

Look at it this way-that's the movie that really ended Orci and Kurtzman's careers. Neither has been able to recover.

About 1 in 25 movies are so bad I turn them off. Both Spirit and Green Lantern were such movies. I couldn't turn off ASM2 as I was in a theater. Alas.

"Scarlett Johannson was hot" is the only thing I took away from The Spirit.

Back to FF I wonder how much all the reshoots and obvious F/X issues that they will be trying to salvage all the way up to release will wind up costing the studio when it's all said and done?

Yas Scarjo even took away the shine from the normally equally hot Eva Mendes.
