Probably why there is no hard feelings. So Kinberg got a massive pay check?

I don't even need to wait for it's weekend. Ant-Man is most likely not hitting 65mil with that Friday number and might go under 60mil and it has the Marvel brand and better marketing (not good marketing but better) than FF. I'm now thinking 35-45mil opening weekend.
BvS really should have tried to make the July 2015 date. It would have been clean sailing.

They were being nice and decided to let Ant-Man make more than $100.![]()

It's unfortunate that Ant-Man may not break bigger than $60 million for its opening weekend, but it was a--and pardon the pun--FANTASTIC film--and deserves all of the great reviews (it was at 80% Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes today) and word of mouth it's receiving. It deserves to do better but its legs will catch on in the weeks to come I think.
I seriously doubt this film will be anywhere near as lucky as Ant-Man for many reasons. For instance, I think critics will not be kind and the word of mouth is already so poor since this franchise is already regarded as box office poison. It looks so awkward and unremarkable in the trailers and TV spots as it is, what hope is there that the film contains better?

This place is fun, crazy but fun.

Take it for what it's worth, but Kinberg publicly defended Trank and said all those rumors were not true.
I believe (after what happened with Corman's version) that there are some stipulations in regards to minimum levels of effort and whatnot. They can't just make a film that isn't actually going to release to hold the rights, for example. As tight as the deadline was on getting this film made (the rights were about to expire) a misstep could have been problematic. Rumors about the director not showing up, turning in a film so bad it had to undergo massive reshoots, the script being rewritten daily, those are some of the rumors flying around. None of us know the terms of the contract, but all of those things could theoretically be red flags if there's any sort of clause protecting against another Corman-esque effort.
Of course he would say that.Take it for what it's worth, but Kinberg publicly defended Trank and said all those rumors were not true.
