The latest tv spot is the best one yet! Fantastic.
Sorry, my mistake. The trailer I was talking about was actually the teaser trailer. Doesn't matter, I still hope the movie fails lol.

I think it generally looks like a bad movie. I think the film will fail because the buzz and marketing aren't good.Just curious; no bad intentions meant with this question or questioning people's opinions on this film:
Do you think this will fail because you don't like how the film is looking (i.e. not a Fan4 film) or because you generally think it looks like a horrible POS movie?

Did anyone else see the new TV spot with Johnny flying through the warm hole dogding air plane parts? Good lord it looks terrible.
As it stands, removing my FF fan bias, the film looks like it could be a decent sized hit and make it's money back comfortably. I do think that it will play to critics, and the WOM will be okay.
But it legitimately does have some shots that raise my eyebrow. Everything looks off, the special effects need a good deal of touching up, and the Thing is especially problematic. The one shot of them walking in a line looks inexcusably poor.
I can't see critics letting all this horrible CGI work and obvious green screen slide. That's the type of stuff they feed on.
Is that what that was? I had no idea what I was looking at.
If this happens, with the current situation between the studios, I can see Fox sitting on the rights for 8 years and letting them revert back naturally.
If I wanted the rights to revert back that much, I'd say it's better if this film financially breaks even and is critically panned. Then Fox knows that a sequel wouldn't likely succeed. They can look at Marvel and say FF have some financial worth and Marvel maybe has the opportunity to buy them back
So, how the movie got approved until this stage? Looks like an unfinished product. It's like everyone including the cast and director know that this won't turn out well, yet nobody talks about it nor does anything about it. Seems they don't even care about their product.

Oh give me a break!
I've seen better. Looks like a bad video game cut scene lol.You really think that shot looks good?I've seen better. Looks like a bad video game cut scene lol.
The problem with waiting for the rights to revert naturally is that Fox ends up getting nothing out of the deal, it won't even do much to Marvel's MCU plans since they are covered for a good 5 of the 8 years anyway. If Fox make a deal for an early reversion they at least give themselves a chance to bargain for something in return.

I don't think Marvel would be chomping to get a FF movie going but I think they would start using from the FF support characters almost immediately, I think people would have a massive geekout if one of the GOTG2 stingers was Silver Surfer in space above a planet.
People need to move on from the rights reverting stuff. Even if this movie fails, Fox is not going to give it back to Marvel. The relationship between the studios is so toxic. They'll sit on the rights and give it to another talented director, or they'll stick the FF into another X-Men film (New Mutants). Fox is not going to allow another property to slip through their fingers like Daredevil or Star Wars.
