Back to FF I wonder how much all the reshoots and obvious F/X issues that they will be trying to salvage all the way up to release will wind up costing the studio when it's all said and done?

Yeah I know. This film is almost a real bad superhero version of The Breakfast Club.

I could never bring myself to purchase XMO on DVD. Ever. Period.

I bought the blu-ray for a dollar. Didn't even have the disc inside lol. Universe was definitely trying to say something.

Oh and someone was asking about that "First Look" on Rogue Cut blu-ray. It was about two minutes and didn't (obviously) show any new footage. Plenty of behind the scenes shots of the sets and actors, and some comments we've already heard about the dynamics of the family.

Ahh thanks, I only remembered about it yesterday but I recalled that people had said how great it would be and that they couldn't wait, then I couldn't remember hearing about it once the Rogue cut came out so I was just wondering what had happened with it.

Saw the trailer in front of Antman over the weekend. The crowd reaction ranged from
"did they just show a movie trailer?" to Oh, God, NO!!!" Thankfully, the next trailer shown
was for Star Wars and THAT woke everyone up. Looks like FFINO will bring back the
"cringe" factor in full force in this (cough, cough) movie.

Thanks, yeah we disagree on a lot but its always been civil. Some people just can't do that it seems, I like the MCU a lot as well, I support all CBMs until I see them for the most part as the more good ones we get the better. ONCE I have seen them if I do t like them I will say so. So I will doing the same with FF. I absolutely slated X3 when that came out and still dislike it a lot now.

We are living in the golden of cbms. Yeah I usually give films a chance too. Its good being optimistic But this FF is raising way too many red flags for me. By the way look at my recent posts in this thread. I have been very negative towards this project for months. Some people knew the project was crappy from the beginning but I was slow on the uptake.

There are fellow DC fans who are looking forward to this film and I converse with a lot of them and do not consider them trolls for looking forward to a film that I think looks like ****. That's their business if they are interested in it. Also most DC fans on Hype are MCU fans as well.

Well that's fair enough as well, I just don't see the point in coming on here to constantly give digs at a movie you aren't going to see. I did it myself with X3 and all it ever did was make me angry and I thought 'What's the point' so I told myself I wouldn't do it again. But if other people want to do it that's fine. I just think it's a waste of time.

1. Those that are not happy with this movie are simply repeating what they have stated over the past year and it is getting redundant and boring. MOVE ON TO SOMETHING YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE.

2. Those that are not happy with this movie have turned this forum into a SPAM convention with their jokes. MOVE ON TO SOMETHING YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE.

3. Those that are happy with what they are seeing feel that it is a slap to them personally when something negative is said. IT'S NOT PERSONAL, GET OVER IT.

4. Those that are happy with what they are seeing feel that any negative poster is a troll. THEY AREN'T THEY JUST DON'T LIKE WHAT THEY SEE.

I hope this film is awesome since it will give Fox leverage to get Marvel to stop playing hardball and work out a similar deal that they worked out with Sony and Universal.

IMO, the best way to merge universes is to do House of M at the tail end of Phase 4. Have Doom tempt Wanda with a world where her brother is alive and have her remake reality so the Avengers are now in a world with the FF and the past and present X-Men where Magneto rules the world with Doom looking to usurp.

The end result is that there's now a new universe when reality is restored with only a few continuity fixes and for the most part, all of the First Class and MCU timelines happened. We get Fox-Men Quicksilver and MCU Scarlet Witch.


Also, when reality is restored, Norman Osborn is director of SHIELD, The Negative Zone has opened up into our universe and Red Skull is Germany's representative on the World Security Council.

Phase 4 should be a breather episode where classic stories get retold and we see more character development, films are more stand alone and important side characters are introduced.

Phase 5 is Dark Reign where the stakes have never been higher, the villains have won and we see the heroes holding on for dear life against impossible odds.

Fox will maintain creative control but Marvel will have to approve all scripts and casting choices.

Phase 5 films will include

Guardians of the Galaxy: Annihilation
Spider-Man: The Night Gwen Stacy Died
Iron Man: World's Mot Wanted
Captain America: Red Zone
Hulk: Code Red
Black Panther: Enemy of the State
Captain Marvel: War of the Marvels
Thunderbolts: Dark Avengers
Doctor Strange: Darkhold
Thor: Gods and Men
Mighty Avengers: Siege

And then culminate with West Coast Avengers: Kang Dynasty where after Norman Osborn is unseated at the end of Siege, Kang conquers the world, being yet another side-effect of Wanda's tampering with reality.


That's why I want this film to succeed. There is nothing about this film that isn't salvageable in a sequel and if Fox and Marvel can agree to merge universes while maintaining continuity, all the better.

Based on how Fox gave up Daredevil and all related characters, they probably want to use Galactus again.

Marvel can't trade Namor since Universal owns his distribution rights. Universal has the right of first refusal which Marvel will need to offer a great deal of money for them to reject distribution of Hulk and Namor.

Keep in mind that Namor is the foundation of the entire 616 Universe as Marvel's first superhero. I don't feel like Marvel will trade him away after they spend a good chunk of money getting him back.

Plus, Marvel would get the most mileage out of getting the Shi'Ar back but since Fox don't own the rights to the celestials and we know Apocalypse is using alien tech, it's fair to say that Fox won't trade the Shi'Ar back.

If Fox has anyone who they don't plan on using, it's Kang, The Badoon and the Brood. I only feel like Marvel would engage in bidding for Kang and I don't feel like they'll give anything up other than cold, hard cash to get him back.

Also, I'd rather see Namor having to deal with Cap and Winter Soldier than convincing Sue to cheat on Reed.
