Yeah I am interested what they are going to do with Doom, I understand the complaints about his look, but Kebbell is a great actor who just last year played amazing villain in Koba. I think his performance will be great and he will provide some menace.

He is a great actor, and honestly he's had the most enthusiasm about his part int he movie than anyone else. That being said, he doesn't controll what Doom looks like and the producers, made him look like ass. He doesn't control that the writers made him an anti-social blogger, but he's got to play the part.

It sounds like from what he could control as an actor, he brought as much as he could to the part, but if he's written poorly then there's not much he can do.

The same could be said for Julian McMahon who did about all he could do in his version of the character.

he did indeed.. and im assuming yes, just because i didn't here alot about it.. seemed like an indie hit.. where im sure those who wanted it liked it (much like Conkuer and Punisher's games) but it definitely didn't get mass appeal

Finally, a press screening. I just want to know what day the screening is and what day the embargo ends.

I'm hoping atleast 1-2 weeks before premiere.

I can see Wizard and Trapster assembling a different Frightful Four with Mad Thinker and Molecule Man.

Harvey Elder is also present so I can see him becoming Mole Man down the line in a sequel.

Puppet Master could also work if it's the story where the FF and Doom are in a Truman Show-style VR simulation with Alicia Masters.

Dragon Man has never been a compelling villain to me. The Badoon have also never been a big threat and I can't see them being a big enough threat in a Silver Surfer spin-off when there's Terrax and Obliterator. Impossible Man and Kurrgo are also weak villains.

The FF still have Annihilus, Blastaar, Terrax, Galactus, Psycho Man and Terminus.

I don't think half those can carry a movie (alone)... especially Mole Man... just seems yawn worthy to me

And they have Malice...not sure how well Kate could pull that off, but it would be fun.

Malice and Psycho man are interesting for sure.. but Malice may also come off like a Dark Phoenix rip-off.. the story is ultimately pretty cliche entertainment wise

You can't have Malice without Psycho Man. And Malice looks dumb, I'd rather it just be Sue gone bad in a Psycho Man story.

Every film gets an embargo. Fox has Paper Towns coming out this week but it comes out in New Zealand on the 30th so we will know some time next week.

I liked it. Gameplay was merely average, but the humor and tone was exactly what I would hope for from Deadpool.

Im sure there will be at least one positive. Armond White usually likes terrible films so at the very least the film will get his praise, but aside from him and some other contrarion critics, I expect the majority to be negative.

The mods actually created a negative thread purely dedicated so such things(like every other movie section). Color me surprised.
Curious to see if it lasts post release.

Anyways this reusing footage in spots is quite the mixed bag. Given this is fox I can't imagine it's on purpose but it is refreshing to not see a movie frantically spoiled with desperate marketing footage. Though there is still time yet.

I wouldn't want them to use Malice until at least the 3rd or 4th film. I think we need to get to know and like Sue before going that route, and I doubt we will get to know her well enough in this first film.

I'll agree to that but probably the 4th. I'd set it up like this.

FF1 - Origin Story

FF2 - Mole Man, Sue is Pregnant after the credits

Ultimate Extinction - Team Up with the X-Men to fight Galactus. Franklin is a baby.

FF3 - Annihilus, Sue miscarries her second child (but not really, Doom has her after the credits)

FF4 - Doom again, this time with Valeria by his side

And I'd still do Puppet Master, Blastaar or Terminus and Doom again before touching Psycho Man

How about no? Ultimatum ruined Ultimate Marvel and I refuse to take anything after that as canon.
