Has your opinion on this franchise changed at all since you've seen the first film and production has begun on the second. In other words are you more optimistic about the sequel???

Yeah me too but my expectations are far greater than they were before the title of this film was announced, and before info started leaking out. Nothing negative yet which is amazing. I'm sure once the trailer comes out if we did this poll again it might be different. This is just based on what we know so far.

I think the promise of the full doom, the appearnce of the Silver Surfer, Galactus, and the Fantasticar would have raised everyone's hope a bit.

I'm starting to get seriously excited. So much of what the Fantastic Four are just wasn't there in the first film, but the bits we've been hearing for this one sound like they're right out of the comics and capture some of the elements that really define the FF.

one of the reason i'm looking forward to this is X2, basiclly look at x-men and FF both films had a large cast with a lot of ground to lay for the story, which took up the main area of the film, the sequals however have the ground work done and dont have to worry about it, so the action, story and fun can become the main focal points

I found the 1st movie watchable, in a live action saturday cartoon, porpcorn, light movie.
Not a great movie in any way, but one that you can watch each 6 months without going
But not a decent FF movie in any way.

About the 2nd, i´m expecting more of the same, or.....even worst.
Why?
Not only i don´t find anyone working on it to try and make a really serious movie, but rather a popcorn one, the simpel notion of having a movie that deals with coming of Galactus (meaning, the end of the world), it´s not a movie that can be taken lightly.
The sheer idea of having a light/popcorn movie about the coming of Galactus as ridiculous and laughable written all around.
And no, i don´t believe for a moment that they will try and make the movie a slightly serious.

Not to mention that i can´t stand the cast, not individually, but as the FF.
Besides Evans, which really surprised me in the 1st movie, not one of them is good for the part they are playing.
They are, without a doubt, the worst cast in a comic book movie circa 2001.
Not only is important to find the actor that can make a great job at the role, but is as important to find one that you can see in the role.
What is not important is to find the next big actor to get his butt on a new big budget movie and have that movie be the one that "launched" him/her.
Alba is not Sue, Gruffudd is not Reed, McMahon is not Doom, and so on...

But I'm still very skeptical. This is Fox producing the movie after all, and lord knows the fiasco with their creative control over X3. Although, they did ask Singer to come back for X4... so maybe they've improved their ways. Who knows anymore...
