Silver Surfer theme you say
I miss Little Caesars! It doesn't exist anymore from my location.I am about to dive into my,Little Ceasers Fantastic Four In One Pizza. And since it features Johnny Storm in all his fiery glory, I am, KEEPING THE BOX! So, Marvel, I AM DOING MY PART!
I'm pretty sure that Giganto will be in the film.I love that they CGI'd that creature from the comics just for that ad.
the pizza looks delicioso!
James Gunn from Rolling Stone:
Q: "Fantastic Four is coming around the same time as Superman and seems to share that Silver Age, optimistic feel. It’s interesting given weird times in the world right now that seems to be the right vibe."
Gunn: "Maybe. But do you really think they’re alike? I’m really embracing the Silver Age of it all, but I don’t think that it’s as stylized, or at least not stylized in the same way. And it’s not as retro. There are retro-futuristic aspects, because we’ve got Daily Planet with a big ****ing [globe]. And the robots, the machinery. So I can see where there’s certain similarities."
First Steps certainly looks and feels more stylish by rooting itself in the concept/aesthetics of retro-futurism. I just hope it doesn't do so at the expense of characterization or even audience appeal. The trailers have been well received in general but I don't think they've quite captured the imagination of casuals to the degree I'd have hoped due to what they've chosen to show in the marketing campaign.
One thing you can say about the Superman trailers is the film has effectively demonstrated the great chemistry between Clark and Lois. The film may not be a Snyder fans cup of tea, or even folks who are dismissive of Gunn's quirky idiosyncrasies in general (I am a fan), but overall the film looks really fun and is resonating online from what I've seen.
I think the only problem is them not showing any action or big set pieces. They've kept a ton to their chest, and have only really show the aesthetics of the setting. The next trailer they release needs to show some big and fun moments.
However, I think them keeping Galactus a surprise for the film itself is great, they just to show other cool stuff.
The fact that it's doing well even though they haven't shown any action is a really good sign for audience interest.
I'm hopeful that them finally showing that action will bring even more people on board.
For some reason I'm not worried. I don't know why, I'm just at ease for some reason.I do appreciate them keeping a lot of elements close to the vest for once. It's also a relief that the film's forecasts are reflecting a really strong interest despite this.
I'm satisfied overall, it's just that Superman feels inevitable at the moment because it looks like the type of film that will have crazy rewatchability throughout July and the following month.
I understand and respect your opinion but for me I really am excited for both films but I am slightly more excited for fantastic four for many different reasons. Did you see the concept art of Galactus in rise of silver surfer because it makes you wonder why they didn’t choose it.So far I’ve loved everything I’ve seen from FF, and cringed through a lot of Superman.
I’m not a fan of the huge, overdone, long, visually and aurally noisy, heavy CGI battle scenes that Superhero films seem obligated to force into the endings.
So I’m hoping FF doesn’t do that.
Its PhasiX.After the box office disappointments of Thunderbolts and Brave New World, they really need this to be big.
But I’m actually feeling the hype for this one among regular folk. This iteration of the FF could also be the first real breakout in terms of new characters with the general public among Phase 5 Marvel.
