As to Rob's point, yeah, it's pretty hard to paint the modern version of Silicon Valley, like, post-Steve Jobs era as the rich old conservative IBM types it used to be. It's been tip of the progressive spear for decades. Certainly the Googles & Facebooks & Apples of the world don't exactly have a traditional Wall Street mindset reputation, not these days with all the internal speech conflicts and the Zuckerberg types acknowledging there's a problem here.
