Casting and location buzz for the next sequel.
by Stax

US, August 29, 2007 - Just days after it was revealed in the trades that Universal wants to put a fourth The Fast and the Furious before cameras by March (to avoid the looming industry strikes) -- this despite not having either a script or a director ready -- comes the first casting rumors for the film.

According to the automotive consumer site Edmunds.com's Inside Line, citing sources close to the first three Fast and the Furious films, "it's rumored that the next film will reunite many characters and actors from the first three including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black."

Edmunds also claims, "Obviously the story will once again center around automotive mayhem of the most intense sort, but the rumor is that this time most of the action will be set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil."

The site adds that the cars for the film might include a 1970 Dodge Charger (which also featured in the first film), the new Dodge Challenger, the Chevrolet Opala and perhaps a 1987 Buick GNX for Vin Diesel's character.

I'm all for this.

I think that the The Fast and the Furious films were very entertaining/fun films to watch (with the first being decent film, the second one being an extreme guilty pleasure, and the third actually being a good film). I just hope that this one gets a decent director for such a rumor of reuniting all of the main characters.

They have gotten crappier with each subsequent film and I expect this one to follow the same patter.

I hope so.

I liked the third one more than the second. And I kinda knew they'd all come together with the ending of part 3

 Awesome news. I love this franchise. Sure some may consider it "crappy" or "sucky," but I think it's a fun franchise and that's all I expect for the next one. Hope they do bring everyone back from the previous films, that would be great.

I saw the original and "2 Fast" as well, but never saw "Tokyo Drift". If they can get Walker, Diesel, and Gibson all back, then it'll definitely be a hit. Bring it on, guys!

You should watch Tokyo Drift, it was surprisingly good.

i don't mind these type of movie continuing, but, after 2 they really should of just dropped the "fast and the Furious" tag on, and just have them as original movies, i mean, Tokyo Drift wasn't that bad, but, most people just assumed it was a crappy third sequel, and didn't even bother with it
(not to motion, that besides it being about car racing, it had no connection with the first two, accept for Vin’s 2 second cameo)

I hope they go back to the formula for the first movie...just drag...please no more drifting

I'm in.

I'm torn between the first and the third for my favorite. Pretty much anything set in modern Japan scores major points with me. And I love the idea of bringing all the leads together. Hope it goes through.

Tokyo Drift had great cinematography and racing scenes but the story was horrible, so in the end it came out luke-warm, if they can come up with a decent script, I wouldn't mind seeing anotehr one.

Damn, Movies.
You are hardly around anymore.

Tyrese would be too expensive

i really liked tokyo drift . it think the series should try to go different directions . i also never bothered to watch part 2 .

Maybe Nick Hogan can star in this one.

The original was the best. But I'm hoping a decent script can keep the enjoyment of the series.

Bringing back all the leads could be awesome as a way to cap this series off for good.

Wow bringing back all of the main stars for each movie sounds great. The chicks would eat this movie up as well
