This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]334106[/split]
Hahaha, was there a scene after the credits? t:
I'd say 95% of the theater cleared out real fast while the last few stayed and were indeed treated to a surprise mid credit scene that literally left everyone with either their jaw on the floor, uttering an expletive like they'd been slugged in the gut, or some incoherent mix of the two.
Honestly, it was something I simply didn't see coming and can't wait for a sequel to find out what happens next!
Dwayne Johnson's character is in his office when he's handed a special file about some military shipment being hijacked. He asks if it was Torretto, and is told no, so he says not interested. He's told to keep reading and flips a page to see that Michele Rodriguez's character is still alive and well.
First off I'd like to say that while I enjoyed the other Fast and Furious' I never thought any of them were anything special with Tokyo Drift being my favorite yes even over the first one. Just got back from Fast Five and wow this movie blew me away.
The things I didn't like: the dialogue in the beginning of the movie just never felt right, especially Brian's. Now that the negatives are out of the way.
Positives: The acting from most of the cast really surprised me, they all seemed on top of their game esepecially when everyone comes together and they just let their fantastic chemistry take over. I loved how each character actually had quite a bit of screentime; Roman, Tej, and the 2 guys from number 4 were hilarious. Han just ooozes sophisticated awesomeness, he is without a doubt my favorite character from this whole franchise everything about him is great. They need to make a spinoff with Dwayne Johnson ala U.S. Marshalls because he was freakin fantastic and a complete bad ass.
The real star of the movie though is the action. Wow all of it is fantastic. Very well shot, you can always see whats going on and who is participating. The much hyped about fight between Vin and Dwayne is great and they really let loose on each other. The final action scene is one of the most inventive car chases I've ever scene and some moments are just jaw dropping. The best part about all of it is that it seems like everything is real, I'm sure there is some cg work but its like Chris Nolan minimum cg if not less.
If you're a fan of the franchise or even just an action fan, do yourself a favor and see the movie. It's fantastic. 9/10
WHAT?! Man, I wish I would've stayed!
But how would she still be alive?! Didn't she catch a bullet in the head?
But..!
Did we actually see that happen? As far as I remember, only when Toretto reimagines the scene.

Great review. You saying it's realistic caught my attention (seeing the previous 4 were anything but) I look forward to seeing it.

I knew Ebert was gonna like it. He has an affinity for this franchise since day one.
