As you can see, Diesel didn't quite confirm that the writers he met with have formally signed on, but he does give a "shout-out" to Lindsey Beer, Geneva Roberston-Dworet, and Nicole Perlman – three of the most notable female writers in Hollywood at the moment.
Perlman wrote earlier drafts of Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor, and has a story credit on Captain Marvel. Beer's credits include the upcoming films Chaos Walking (the Doug Liman YA joint that also counts Charlie Kaufman – of all people – as a screenwriter) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot (yes, there's another one). Robertson-Dworet's credits include Tomb Raider and Captain Marvel. So that's a pretty killer trio! It's unclear exactly which female cast members will return for the Fast spinoff, but Michelle Rodriguez is a pretty safe bet, and I gotta assume that at least a couple of new actors will be added to the mix.
They would never do it, but they should plan this to take place after the last F&F where Dom and his crew are killed except for the women. Then the women take their revenge (ala Widows)
well this week we heard a pitch for the Fast female protagonist driven spinoff I created in 2017, and you can tell by the smile on Samantha’s face it was VERY exciting. Shout out to Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Welcome to the Fast FAMILY...
You're forgetting Riddick.Do you really think Vin Diesel's ego would ever kill his one and only character?
I'd rather dead characters (Gal) stay dead.Oh my gosh this is going to be the best! Bring back Gal! Add Hellen mirren. Michelle Rodriguez. Charlize thereon. Plus some new characters. Brilliant.
I'm all for equality, but this just isn't needed
we'll have an all-female Expendables film
Thr female Expendables is actually happening.
Wow. It's almost like studios haven't got original ideas anymore.
Buckle up for the inevitable backlash and cries of "SJW" "feminazis" and other dog whistles from the crazies.

There was some, and the movie has a very negative audience score on Rotten Tomatoes despite being relatively successful at the BO.I didn't hear any backlash on Ocean's 8. Was there any?
I don't want the same major plotpoint repeated just to bring someone back. Plus, they also already did a prequel trilogy with now dead characters. To be honest they brought letty back to life so anyone is fair game. I mean let’s be honest, the franchise is about fun not realism
The better question is, why? What's the actual benefit for it, short of (potentially) appeasing feminists? Why not?

Hardly a blockbuster if it's on YouTube. I wasn't aware of this in any case. There is a Female Expendables movie. It's called Mercenaries: Lady Expendables. It's top-lined by acclaimed stunt-women Zoe Bell & Brigitte Nielsen. The whole thing is up on YouTube.
