"We’re excited about the expansion of our portfolio with the addition of titles from high profile franchises such as Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star and follow-ups to our acclaimed properties with STORY OF SEASONS and The Legend of Heroes," said Shinichi Suzuki, President & CEO of Marvelous USA. "Alongside independent labors of love including Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, we are very much looking forward to showing off these games for the first time at E3.”
Here are more details behind the titles from the press release:
Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star[Platforms: PS4, PSVita; Release: Winter] – Expanding upon the extensive and much-beloved Fate universe with a standalone story from acclaimed series writer Kinoko Nasu (of Fate/stay night fame), Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, developed by Marvelous Inc.,transpires on the new world of Extella through a diverse cast of “Servants” – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at their Masters’ orders – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon. In a future ruled by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton, these champions now duke it out for dominance over this digital realm, known as “SE.RA.PH.” This story takes place after the events described in Fate/EXTRA, and depicts the world after that previous Holy Grail War. Players will experience the story from the independent perspectives of the three heroine Servants and face off against foes from a variety of Fate productions, including characters fromFate/stay
night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order, in fast-paced action. A new form change battle mechanic debuts in this entry to match its series-first gameplay style, transforming the player-controlled Servants and granting them considerable powers that allow them to devastate enemies and take formidable challenges head-on.

- Noble Phantasm: Infinite Creation of Swords (Unlimited Blade Works)
A wrought iron soul dressed in a red cloak. He is a cool-headed cynic, but is in fact very caring. Though he is an Archer, he is also proficient in hand-to-hand combat. Despite not having a powerful Noble Phantasm, he is able to handle anything thrown his way.
■ System
High-Speed Servant Action
In Fate/Extella, players can freely run about the battlefield while controlling a Servant, and trigger a variety of combo attacks with a combination of weak attacks and strong attacks.
Additionally, the battlefield isn’t limited to just the ground. Players are able to avoid swarms of enemies with an aerial dash and launch a concentrated attack. Furthermore, violent attacks from enemies can also be eclipsed with a guard.
Area Supremacy Battle
An Area Supremacy Battle sees Servants attacking camps known as “Sectors” in a battle to obtain “Regime Matrix” keys that indicate control of the area. Although you’ll win if you collect 15 Regime Matrices, each sector has a different number of keys.
Rather than just destroy the enemy, fighting while considering things like “prioritizing attacks from a Sector with more keys” or “fighting while protecting your own Sector targeted by an enemy” is also important.
Extella Maneuver
An Extella Maneuver is a special attack that can be triggered by consuming a gauge. It can collectively damage those surrounding the main enemy it strikes. Furthermore, by consuming more of the gauge during the attack, a continuous attack becomes possible, allowing you to deal great damage to an army of enemies all at once.
Data Share
Through PlayStation Network, you can upload your PlayStation 4 or PS Vita save data and transfer it between platforms. This is called Cross-Save. Additionally, through Ad-hoc mode in the PS Vita version, you can exchange profile cards between users. And if the save data of a PS Vita version that exchanged cards is transferred into the PlayStation 4 version, you can get additional items for use in the game.
