Whether or not there is another a Nolan film...what do you think will be the fate of the Bat Signal? This is a legendary part of the mythology that there needs to be more of IMO. I really hated to see it destroyed. How should it be resurrected?

Someone can remake it, pretty simple if you ask me.
If you mean plot-wise. I think Gordon would be the one to bring it back because he needs Batman for something. It is the only way to get in contact with Batman, unless you mug someone or unless Batman wants to talk to you.

It would be a good icon way to show that the city needs Batman again, by having them resurrect the Bat symbol. Gordons' the one who built it last time, so he'll do it again...

Well, I hope it comes early in the next film. After all, what's a Bat-flick without it? Then again, I guess I could live without it it as long as there is a really nice dramatic unveiling at the end, with another classic end quote. ;)

Like the end of B89? "He gave us the signal!" *whoosh!*
:brucebat:

Gordon's going to install a secret red phone in his office.

If Batman is being hunted, someone really probably bring it back in the third one to try and lure him out to snag him.

That was a pretty expensive statement, Gordon could have saved some money in the GPD budget by just unscrewing the Bat symbol from the spotlight and then they could have returned the spotlight to regular duty or sold it on ebay.

Haha that was hilarious.

Well I dont know, this was a Batman movie with no Batcave after all, so I guess it depends on the story. I'm guessing the next one will deal with his redemption so maybe Gordon putting it back up at the end of the next movie could be a fitting close to the trilogy

And imagine how embarrassing it would've been for Gordon if he wasn't able to smash it out with the axe, with all those cops standing around watching.

Wouldn't Batman consider it to be a trap if it were to be lit up again? Then again, Batman can just arrive unnoticed...

That would be a cool idea and a way to at least incorporate it somehow...although Harvey Dent sort of did that already.

:hehe:

Actually, that wouldn't be so bad. I'd laugh, though.

Maybe this time they would make it a red cell. Like a candy apple Razr or something...and they would just text each other with senseless gossip. And of course he would need to have some annoying Lil' Mama ring tone. OK I'll stop now.

Batman, "We don't need the signal anymore"

Gordon, "oh?"

Batman, "just twitter me"

Have it lit again at the end of the third film...proof that Batman redeemed himself.

Let the citizens of Gotham resurrect the Bat signal...than he will know that he is needed again......

The bat-signal in general was used very well in this film very realistic, better than any of the previous bat-films!

Yes! But better...and with no Robert Wuhl...

I thought the fat guy at the press conference who said, "Batman should turn himself in" was Robert Wuhl the first time I saw it.
And then I realized Robert Wuhl has no business being on an IMAX screen. Fact.
