Who is your favorite Batman movie villain other than The Joker?

Hard to choose. I like them all to varying degrees. Except Talia Al Ghul - HATED that character.

But like Ponyboy, I had to choose Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. Amazing performance.

Just from the live-action films? Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.

Catwoman, but I did like watching Two-Face in TDK, even though we barely saw him....and he was just Mad-Face. :2face:

I also liked Ra's in BB.

The Penguin from the Adam West series/movie
Seriously.. I just love him.

Mad, bad with a slight touch of ecological zealotry.

The Penguin from the Adam West series/movie

Him and Eckhart's Two Face would be my top two picks.

Burgess Meredith's Penguin is the defining portrayal of that character for me.

Pfieffer's Catwoman. Then Neeson's Ra's.

Two Face from TDK, even if he only had some screentime.

Sometimes I think Ledger overshadowed him.

Two-Face from TDK. I wish there had been more of Two-Face. Eckhardt did a great job!

My choice is Two Face. Aaron Eckhart gave one of the best performances of any comic book movie.

If I may warp the question a bit, the Batman villain I'd most like to see portrayed in a future film is the Riddler. I actually don't think Carey was bad for the tone of BF. But a Nolan Riddler could have been so awesome. I envision him as someone like Marilyn vos Savant, the highest IQ alive. He is known for being unstumpable, with a column or a tv/radio show where incredibly complex linear thinking puzzles are posited to him and he always manages to solve them.

After Batman becomes a fugitive, the Riddler is hired by the cops to find him. Knowing he's dealing with The World's Greatest Detective, he deliberately leaves a series of clues that lead Batman right where he wants him to go.

But taking the question as it is, I agree with Two-Face. Scarecrow a close second.

Other than the Joker?

Hmm. I think I'll go with DeVito's Penguin. Such a fascinatingly dark and tragic character.

But a Nolan Riddler could have been so awesome.

A Nolan Riddler would be just like his Scarecrow - a guy in a business suit. Nolan basically did use Riddler, anyway:

Coleman Reese aka Mr Reese = 'Mysteries'

That's your Riddler right there.

Yay for realism.

I liked Bane. His backstory and similarities to Bruce were what I most enjoyed. Afterward, Two-Face, then Joker, Ra's, Catwoman, Scarecrow. All from the Dark Knight Trilogy.

I can't help but think Burn Gorman would've made a great Nolan Riddler.

A Nolan Riddler would be just like his Scarecrow - a guy in a business suit.

Actually, I'm thinking rumpled tweed jacket, but if he has a TV show I can see him having a suit with question marks all over it, like that "GET FREE MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT!" guy but less garish.

The Riddler would be a screen title similar to Survivorman, Mr. Wonderful (Shark Tank), The Crocodile Hunter, The Pick Up Artist, etc.

Penguin and Catwoman from Batman Returns are basically tied for me. Danny Devito and Michelle Pfeiffer were both excellent. On top of that, they worked well in their scenes together too. Hard to choose between the two.

Bane is #3 for me, Tom Hardy was pretty good though to be honest it has more to do with the writing of his character than his actual performance. Again he was good but without the excellent dialogue it wouldn't have been what it was. Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face was great but didn't get much screen time so he comes in behind those 3.

Have to agree with CountOrlok on Talia Al Ghul, wouldn't go as far as saying I hated the character but it was a useless plot device and Marion Cotillard was kind of annoying.

He isn't the Riddler. We been through this in the past.....

We have. But what's stopping people from saying "He's Nolan's Riddler". If they want to believe it, let them. I haven't heard Goyer or the Nolans say that Riddler wasn't used as an inspiration for the character or as a nod just like Blake was a nod to Robin. So let it be.
