Favorite Beat Em Up Games Of All Time

What are some of your favorites in the Beat Em Up genre? Past or present, doesn't matter.

Much like fighting games, I feel like this genre is a lost art. But that being said, this one instantly comes to mind:

Final Fight

Never gets old. Always liked Cody more than Guy and Haggar lol.

My favorite would be the Tower of Doom/Shadow Over Mystara duology. They are basically the late stage Capcom beat em up perfected, as well as the prototype for the later work of VanillaWare.

TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project is definitely the one I remember the fondest. Wasted so many hours on that with my brother. Also good memories of Venom: Separation Anxiety.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (SNES - Not the best by any means but I have a soft spot for it since it was one of the first video games I ever played)

Loved Final Fight; Haggar was always my guy.

Also, the arcade versions of X-Men, TMNT, Golden Axe and especially Magic Sword were rad.

I never owned the MMPR Movie game (SNES) but I remember it being a lot tougher than the first MMPR game.

Altered Beast and Golden Axe were a ton of fun. Including Streets of Rage (obviously), Sega used to make some good ass beat em ups.
