Favorite Christmas Movies?

I dispise that movie, cause as a little kid i looked like ralphie and everytime that movie comes on my family goes you'll shoot your eye out.:cmad:

The joys of christmas.:csad:

While I dont despise it, I dont quite see the appeal of it. I usually try to watch the first fifteen minutes, get bored and then switch the channel to something else.

IMO, A Christmas Story is overrated. Horrible? Not at all, just not as good as a lot of people say it is.

The Santa Clause
Jingle All The Way
Rudolph The Rednose Reindeer
Miracle on 34th Street
Batman Returns

In no particular order:
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
Edward Scissorhands
Scrooged
Elf
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
(both of them)
Batman Returns
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
It's a Wonderful Life

Too many to name but these are just a few that come to mind.
In no particular order...

The Santa Clause: Tim Allen IS to date THE BEST Santa Claus I've seen in a movie.

A Christmas Story: Red Rider BB Gun, Leg Lamp, Kids being thrown down a BIG ASS slide, Frah-Gee-Lay, and Oh Fudge whats not to love?

Scrooge (1951) Alastair Sim brilliantly plays Scrooge. The whole sequence with The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is...eerie.

These are more TV movie/specials but Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol and A Charlie Brown Christmas are both favorites.

Christmas Comes To Willow Creek.

Rankin and Bass The Life and Adventures Of Santa Clause.

A Christmas Carol- George C Scott.

Ernest Saves Christmas.

Miracle On 34th Street.

Grumpy Old Men.

OMGz. Grump Old Men 1 & 2! Cannot believe i forgot those. One of Mark Steven Johnson's rare achievements.

There's no contest.

It just might be the best movie ever made aswell.

A Christmas Story. It's the only one I watch every year.

Other ones I find enjoyable are

The Grinch (cartoon)
A Christmas Carol
Jingle All the way

1. Edward Scissorhands
2. The Nightmare before Christmas
3. Batman Returns
4. How the grinch stole christmas (old animated version)
5. tie between Home Alone and A Christmas Story.

Is a Chistmas Story overrated? YES!! Best Christmas movie ever.....NO WAY! Doesn't even come close to Nightmare before Christmas or Edward Scissorhands! And I also don't get this new "tradition" of watching Christmas Story EVERY year...the movie isn't that good....well in my opinion at least. Good movie...not great.

Heh...I love Tim Burton movies :woot:...although his recent batch of films havent been as good as before (with the exception of Sweeny Todd). His best is Edward Scissorhands!
