For those of us who enjoy the occassional alcoholic beverage, what's your favorite?

Throw a White Russian my way .

Because if its beer I enjoy a nice Sam Adams every now and then, and if its liquor I'll take an Irish Car Bomb.

Is the caucasian a cocktail? I guess I don't even know what the definition of "cocktail" technically is.

My favorite alcoholic beverage is white wine, cheap white wine, followed by good dark beer, good light (light-colored, not lite-on-flavor-piss-beer) beer, followed by the caucasian. And then just whatever there is. Bourbon. I like bourbon. Drank some Old Crow tonight.

And no, I'm not an alcoholic. In fact, I only drink like once every three or four months. But me and my friends are creative when it comes to shots.

Ingredients

1 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1/2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur


Pour first vodka, then Bailey's, then Kahlua into a cocktail glass over crushed ice. Stir.

Caution: use only high quality vodka. Cheap vodka can cause the Bailey's to curdle. Test your brand of vodka by mixing 1 Tsp each of vodka and Bailey's first

we used to sell something called a gas chamber at the bar I used to work at. Awesome, responsible for so many forgotten evenings....

1 shot absinthe
1 shot aftershock
1 shot sambuca.

1.Pour half of the contents into a wine glass.
2.Burn said contents while twisting the glass so it doesn't shatter.
3.Drop the glass into the tumbler containing the majority of the alcohol to put out the flame.
4.Remove the glass and put it on the bar.

5.Down the contents of the tumbler
6.Use a straw to suck out all the alcohol vapour from the wine glass.
7.Repeat.
8.Fall over

I've seen hardened drinkers unable to speak after 2 of these...

I stick to a one per night limit

Scale ingredients to servings
1 1/2 oz Smirnoff® Green Apple Twist vodka
1 oz DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps


Stir ingredients together with crushed ice in a cocktail/martini glass, and serve.



Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

1 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz Rose's® lime juice
1/2 oz cranberry juice

Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve.


Whiskey Sour


Scale ingredients to servings

2 oz blended whiskey
juice of 1/2 lemons
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon


Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Serve in:

I've had it. It's awesome. But I pretty much like any shot with Bailey's.
