Favorite end credits songs/music

I love the "Age of Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" medley at the end of The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

I just saw Hair on Broadway a few weeks ago, that's all I could think of when I heard both of those songs in the show. :oldrazz:

Fight Club - always sends shivers up my spine.

2001 - The combination of the score and revealing [BLACKOUT]the last astronaut is superhuman, immortal, etc.[/BLACKOUT] is fantastic.

after the rediculous ending of The Prestige, I thought the credits rolling with Thom Yorkes Black Swan was a random but oddly fitting choice

Note: Many of these choices are shameless call-backs to childhood nostalgia.

First Blood - It's A Long Road"
Batman Returns - "Face To Face"
Batman/Batman Returns - Elfman's End Credits composition.
The Dark Knight - "Watchful Guardian" and credits score.
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame - "The Bells Of Notre Dame"
All Indy Films - "Finale" compositions.
All Star Wars films - Finale/End Credits compositions.
Mortal Kombat - "Mortal Kombat"
Passion Of The Christ - "Resurrection"
Slumdog Millionaire - "Jai Ho"
The Wrestler - "The Wrestler"
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - "9.95/Turtle Power"
Lion King - "The Circle Of Life"
Pinocchio - "When You Wish Upon A Star"

The Ending of Dragonball Evolution.

I DONT like the movie at all.. but i like the song =]

Man of the Hour-Big Fish.
Eddie Vedder really captures and sums up that whole film with that one song. Stills brings me to tears everytime.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 - I Want Your Hands On Me
Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters
Clerks - Can't Even Tell
Goodfellas - My Way

I think David Bowie's Something in the Air works great as an end credits songs - see American Psycho and Memento.

I also like John Lennon's Bring on the Lucie at the end of Children of Men.

The Matrix - Wake Up - Rage Against The Machine.

Close thread.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

The Matrix Reloaded

Calm Like A Bomb - Rage Against The Machine :woot:

Also if we're going purely by existing songs and not music specifically composed for a movie ( disregarding flicks like return of the king , spider-man etc)
The Devil's Advocate
Paint IT bLACK - THE ROLLING STONES

Platoon
Adagio For Strings - Samuel Barber

Whatever credit song in the upcoming MJ movie is gonna be epic...

Gotta throw out The Breakfast Club with Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds.

Oh, and the end of Top Gun. The use of You've Lost That Loving Feeling for the cast and then Mighty Wings for the rest of the credits. Awesome.

The End Of Heartache by Killswitch Engage (resident evil: apolcolypse)

"The Empire Strikes Back" (1980): "The Rebel Fleet/End Credits" - John Williams

hitman

That is the greatest avvy I've ever seen.

Ennio Morricone's ''Rabbia E Tarantella'' that plays with the Inglourious Basterds end credits is awesome. Just perfect music for the film.

And, just copying/pasting from IMDB here, I'm not a classical music buff of any kind, but '"Violin Concerto in D Major'' by Johannes Brahms at the ending of There Will Be Blood is such a perfectly perfect piece of music to end the movie with.

Well thank you :) It's actually from a video I made where I combined The Crow film and graphic novel. You can watch it in my sig.

My Chemical Romances's 'Desolation Row' cover at the end of Watchmen
The closing scores for any film scored by Hans Zimmer or Danny Elfman
The Rembrandts' 'Down The Hill' for Dumb & Dumber
'Won't Back Down' by Fuel, for Daredevil
Jane Siberry's 'It Can't Rain All The Time' for The Crow.

Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle - Be Ya Self.

It was one of those late 90s pop/r&b ditties, but coupled with the 60s animation style end credits, it was pretty fun.
