The Assasination of Jesse James. Don't know what it is about this score, but it's truly amazing.

-David Newman's insanely underrated score for Serenity
-Maurice Jarre's entire body of work
-Most of Thomas Newman's stuff
-Carter Burwell's work for Fargo
-Michael Kamen's score for Brazil
-Danny Elfman's score for the first spider-man movie, which nobody seems to remember, even though it's one of his crowning achievements

I adored the score to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but Hans Zimmer is wildly overrated.

IMO, other than SM3's, SM1 Is The Best. just makes me more sad that we didnt get the third film's score... :C

Solid. I'll add to that Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, King Arthur, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Spy Game.

In no particular order:

Glory
Matrix
Yellow Submarine
Until The End Of The World
The Mission
Against All Odds (skipping the title song)
Last Temptation of Jesus Christ
Lion King

Spider-Man 3 had some great villain themes, but peter, spider-man, and MJ all get nothing but recycled music, which really hurts the film overall.

actually, young wrote i think it was like..10 new themes, all for

peter
mj
aunt may
the love theme
sandman
venom
new goblin
eddie
flint
and more idk of, but sony music or raimi said they thought it would be a better idea to re-use the old themes, instead of establishing new ones.
