Damn straight.

You know, it makes me realise even more just how much of an unsung hero Oldman his in the Bat-films.

We've all been talking (quite rightly) about Ledger's and Eckhart's amazing performances but Oldman was his usual, steady self. Didnt miss a beat.

Caine too.

Yeah, Oldman even says in interviews that he's tired of playing the maniac.

He likes playing Gordon because he's a good person.

He also said he would've loved to take the role of The Joker, but Heath was the best in his opinion.

A secret side of classic Gary Oldman would love to chew the scenery, this is true, and in an alternate reality with different Batfilms, Oldman would be great as the Joker.

Oldman would be great as anything. He could play Two-Face, he could be Alfred...and he'd be great.

1.) Gary Oldman - Even beats the comics version he is interpreting. Along with Nolan, they just nailed that character.

2.) Bob Hastings - I just loved this version...

Agreed 100%. I hope we'll see him in the future more often and not only in blockbusters, but he said acting isn't a top priority for him anymore.

Oldman's just so damn likeable in the role. Very understated the way he plays it, which works excellently for the character. Every line is delivered perfectly

Im glad he's who we got for the role for sure!

No contest Oldman after TDK its like Gordon leaped from the comics to the movies

Really, Oldman is so good in these movies.

it shouldn't even be a contest........Oldman all the way.

Oldman looks like Gordon brought to life. Very rarely will you see actors who look straight out of the comic book/animation. You usually just see the actor in dress up, and not the character. Gary Oldman is the Commissioner.

Bob Hastings is a close second.

Oldman easy. Everytime he comes on screen I want to run into the movie and give him a big hug!

oldman oldman oldman oldman oldman oldman oldman....you get my point

its definately true about him being able to play absolutely anyone - hell he could even play batman if he put his mind to it! :woot::woot::woot:

Let's just bask in Oldman love here... :woot: !

He's doing an advertisement for football here in the UK... minus the mustache (:csad:)... which seems odd...

Was he ever a footballer at one stage?

This is almost a no-brainer. Hingle didn't really do anything except turn the signal on & off, the animated Gordon was cool but was still pretty much a bureaucrat, & the 60's series was a joke on all fronts. Oldman, hands down.

Easy choice, Oldman. Its almost too easy in fact. He is just like the Gordon of Year One and The Long Halloween. :woot:

Oldman without a doubt is my favorite. But I love Pat Hingles portrayl as well. Both were awesome.

Oldman FTW.

Neil Hamilton was hilarious. His Gordon was such a dip****. The whole police force consisted of just him and O'hara. Some villainy stuff would go down and O'hara would say, "We should do something!" and Gordon would just say, "**** it, call Batman."

Well, to be fair, they did go to all that trouble to get the Bat-phone installed; It wouldve been a shame not to use it. ;)

The levels of idiocy acheived is hilarious when you watch it though - I mean, presumably O'Hara wouldve had to have been really good at his job and passed stringent examinations to achieve the position of Police chief, yet I find it hard to believe that O'Hara had the intelligence to even dress himself without help in the morning.

Would you really trust that guy to carry a loaded gun?

His opposite number in Springfield was probably a more competant cop. :D

Wasn't that Hingle's answer to everything?
