What was your favorite Joker laugh in the movie?

Mine was when he was in the semi after the helicopter crashed. He didn't even look like Heath anymore. More like a monster.

When Batman is beating the hell out of him in the interrogation room. His laugh was one of pure sick enjoyment.

I always though Ceaser Romaro's laugh was the best. He didn't get much else right, but that laugh was spot on!

The laugh he gives Batman at the climax of the interrogation room scene, when Batman is beating the crap out of him. Such a demented, almost inhuman act of defiance.

That laugh sounds great, and might be his best in that category. It also means a whole lot, since the Joker finds it hilarious Batman can't do anything to him and that a person (probably Rachel is Joker's mind) will die, as a result of Batman ironically choosing to save her. The Joker swapping the addresses of Harvey and Rachel's whereabouts is one of the best bits of the whole movie.

The Brian Douglas interview laugh is the scariest, since we don't know what exactly he's going to do, but he's in such a fit of excitement because now he can go to work. It only leaves horrifying thoughts of what he did.

His last one is my favorite though. The Joker reveals his last and greatest trick and truly feels he's won. He's looking right at Batman, swaying back in forth in the air, laughing as hard as he can. Even after Batman leaves, he's still cracking up. Plus, he laughs his way out of the movie, perfect fit for one of the greatest film characters of all time.

the laugh right before he says "and i thought my jokes were bad...." when entering the mafia meeting

interrogation room laugh when he was being punched in the face :D

The laugh at the end of the interrogation scene is my favorite. I also like the one at the end when he's hanging upside down as the swat shows up, it's just so angry and hate filled.

I still think the best laugh and joke, was when Batman asked him to let Rachel go, and Joker says, "ohhh, very poor choice of words. HAhahaaaa".:hoboj:

The interrogation room laugh elicited a powerful visceral response from me so it's tough not to go with that. I also agree with drunkhomer that the mock laugh as he entered the mob meeting was extremely interesting and disturbing. It's the kind of thing that really defines the performance.

What? The "laugh" was a damn big topic of discussion before and after the casting of Ledger, especially after his comment about how it's not necessarily important to the character. The geek community freaked out when he said that in an interview.

TDK Joker Laughs

I think the above video covers them all, but here is another video anyway...

Joker's Kick Ass Laugh Collection

I have to agree with what a lot of people are saying. At first I couldn't decide because it's hard to pick without seeing them all side by side...but I must say...

- The mob scene mocking laugh that he does, is brilliant. Rather than gives us a full out goofy loud annoying laugh right off the bat for the first time we see him, they give us this sarcastic laugh. Genius. Gives you the feel for Ledger's Joker right off the bat.

- The laugh he does when he has the fake Batman hostage on TV, brilliant. So scary.

- The laugh in the truck after the Helicopter drops (it's very very short) but like someone above said, he transforms... and is no longer Ledger, but is a creature, is a demon, is The Joker

- The laugh in the interrogation room is also great when he is on the floor and laughs right before telling Batman there is nothing he can do

I have two.
The one just before he says "I don't wa-I don't wanna kill you!" during the interrogation scene and the mock one he gives during the mob scene.

EDIT: Okay, after watching the video above, now I'm not so sure.
That laugh while he shakes the faux-Batman cowl always cracks me up, and his laugh right as the police show up at the end is almost scary.

For me it's a tie between the fake Batman hostage laugh and the Interrogation Room laugh.

When he's laughing into the camcorder, that was downright disturbing...

My favourite is the laugh when Batman throws him off the building overlooking the ferries.

I do love the laugh when hes hanging for the police to find him at the ferries scene...its so...creepy...
but the punch in the face laugh in the interrogation scene was probably the best joker laugh ever x10

It switches around from day to day. I like the one in the threat video because of how chilling it was, and the one in the interrogation room showing how powerless Batman was.

However the laugh I like right now is the one at the end, cause of the way it starts off like the normal Joker clown voice and dips randomly down to the beastly psychopathic roar. I've always liked that idea that Joker's voice is a playful facade masking an utter demon underneath, and that final laugh punctuates that well.

Very interesting way of looking at it
