I'm sure some of us have seen these types of movies at least once. They usually have the same type of characters, same plot, and the same ending; the only thing that's different is the sport. But at the same time, we can't stop watching them; so out of these movies involving kids and sports which is your favorite and why?

I'm sure there are some I forgot, but these were the ones that first came to my mind.

Little Giants. I was just the right age when it came out for that to always be my favorite "kidz sports" movie. And yes, I used a 'z' instead of a 's'.

The Sandlot, which is not on the list.
The Bad News Bears is a close second (both versions).

I was actually thinking of putting Sandlot on the poll, but being that it didn't go with the usually formula of the "underdog team" I decided not to.

And as much as I love The Sandlot, these are the movies follow that typical formula.

Off that list, I'd say the original "Bad News Bears."

Going off the list, "Hoosiers" and "Remember the Titans" are also quite good.

No offense to any Remember the Titans fans but that is one of those cliched movies that I just can't take...sorry guys. Once again, no offense but that is a movie like Top Gun that I just can't take.

Sandlot is a classic.

I know it's not a classic, but Hardball with Keanu Reeves coaching the inner city Chicago kids is one of the funnier things I have seen. His deadpan reactions to their constant cursing and what not was just funny.

Well, if that's your definition the new Bad News Bears shouldn't be on the list either since they didn't win the final game. I'm not sure if they won or not in the original, haven't seen it in so long, but I know in the remake they lost. For that alone, I'll pick the Bad News remake for those on the list, but I agree the Sandlot is probably best.

My favorite as a kid was D2: The Mighty Ducks. In retrospect, it's probably the weakest of the three, but that didn't stop me from watching it more than once a day on a few occasions.

That's funny because I always thought that D3 was the weakest.

the sandlot, you can't beat it

other than that little giants, i just always liked it.

does any one rember cool runnings? it about Bobsled team. it was about these people from Jamaican . i like to get it on dvd.

I'm going to have to go with D2: The Mighty Ducks for nostalgic reasons.

hands down, the original Bad News Bears. They just don't make kids' movies that awesome anymore. I grew up watching it and it wasn't until much later that I realized how offensive it would be to people if made now. The remake was good, but not near the level of the original. Billy Bob was the perfect choice to fill in for Walter Mathau, though.
