Since, and including, Batman Begins, which has been your favorite reboot?

The new Planet of the Apes films.

My favorite reboot is a three way tie between BB, CR, and ST09. Personally, I also consider the 2009 Sherlock Holmes film and X-Men: First Class spiritual reboots.

Still haven't seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

For me it's BB, CR and Man of Steel. They each brought a tonal change to their respected franchises. ST09 was more of an homage to the original in the vein of Superman Returns.

None of the rest of those listed felt like reboots and were like remakes.

Definitely Batman Begins. I think out of all of them it saved it's character and franchise the most and trust me Star Trek and Bond needed saving too but i literally think Batman and Robin is one of the worst movies ever so BB had a mountain of a job to do and it delivered big time starting one of the great film trilogies.

Casino Royale. Batman Begins is certainly in the conversation, but there is one aspect where I found CR far superior. The quality of the action scenes. BB has nothing close to the quality of the foot chase/crane fight in Madagascar, the collapsing building in Venice, etc.

Casino Royale is one of my favorite films, and beats out Batman Begins by a hair.

1. Casino Royale
2. Batman Begins
3. Man of Steel
4. Star Trek
5. Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Don't know if it's a sequel or soft reboot, but I'd include Mad Max: Fury Road.

Probably Planet of the Apes. Weird, but that's my favorite reboot.

Fury Road is what people would call a "Requel", which is a combination of Sequel and Reboot.

Creed, Force Awakens, Jurassic World, and Superman Returns would also be examples of a requel.

1. Star Trek
2. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
3. Ghostbusters

No the Incredible Hulk and Dredd?

Man of Steel is one of my all time favourite films. Casino Royale and Batman Begins are amazing too.

I'm also calling this one a three way tie for BB, CR and ST'09.

Batman Begins
Man of Steel
Rise of the Planet of the Apes

In order:

GREAT

Star Trek '09
Batman Begins
Casino Royale
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Man of Steel
Godzilla

OKAY

TMNT
Ghostbusters

POOR

Robocop
ASM1

Batman Begins - Great, still my favourite Batman film
Casino Royale - Good, but the movie runs on too long...?
Star Trek - My choice for best reboot, same yet different from the original.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Good, but pales in comparison with the original
The Amazing Spider-Man - Andrew Garfield is excellent, but in hindsight, they should have just went with Raimi's Spider-Man 4
Man of Steel - Good, but has some head-scratching changes to the Superman mythos
Robocop - Fun, family friendly reboot
Godzilla - Good
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Good
Ghostbusters '16 - Haven't seen it

1. Star Trek
2. Rise of the Planet of the Apes (like the 2nd one better though)
3. Batman Begins

casino royale is another great one. And then there are some that I like but don't absolutely love such as TMNT2014, Man of Steel, amazing spider-man, and Godzilla

Who voted for Ghostbusters & Rob-Cop when Godzilla has no votes? Lmao

I voted Apes. I didn't care about the franchise before but I love the new ones.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes has my vote. Love that movie.

I still haven't seen the Robocop reboot.

Batman Begins and Casino Royale are tops for me, but I give the slight edge to BB for saving the Batman franchise and making Batman an interesting layered character for the first time in the movies.

Yeah, I can see that argument. James Bond wasn't in a great place following Die Another Day, but the franchise was sure in a lot better shape than Batman was. James Bond also had several great films prior to CR, most recently 11 years earlier with Goldeneye.

But ultimately, in a vacuum, I think CR is the slightly better film. I certainly wouldn't argue with anybody picking BB though.
