Favorite movie?

My favourite CBM is The Dark Knight, with Batman Returns just behind it.

But my favourite movie overall is Casablanca.

The Lord of the Rings

 

Lord of the Rings as one long film is my no.1.

 

A Brighter Summer Day. An epic crime/drama film about a student who gets involved in a gang conflict and a girl who is the lover of one of the gang leaders. It's tied with Millennium Mambo, which is about a young woman looking back ten years at her life during the dawn of the new millennium and her fleeting youth, when her choices almost destroyed her.

 

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Mamma Mia!

The Avengers would be my favorite.

If we discount CBMs, possibly Rocky. There are a few contenders for that spot, but right now, I am inclined to say Rocky. I just find that movie makes me happy regardless of mood.

 

The Room( no, not the Brie Larson one, I mean the best bad movie of all time). Tommy Wiseasu made a disaster-piece that I will remember far more than a lot of the bland, forgettable, competently made movies that get nominated for an Oscar these days.

 

Favourite CBM is Superman The Movie (1978), favourite non-CBM, which is a tie, I really cannot separate them is Vertigo (1958).

I love Batman Returns, especially its action, characters, visuals and dark humor, it is my favorite comic book movie.

But my favorite movie is Star Wars, an incredible epic with great characters, pretty much just the right tone between drama and humor and action, just the right scale mixing the personal and vast, the characters and effects, it's so involving, engaging, transporting into its own galaxy.

 

My favorite movie fluctuates based on mood. It's generally The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (happy) The Lion King (serious), and High Noon (depressed). It's been High Noon for quite a while :/

 

My all time favorite movie is Back to the Future, but my favorite CBM is probably Spider-Man 2
