The Wizard Of Oz, Vertigo, Pyscho and It's A Wonderful Life all tanked on their initial releases, so I'll say them.

Citizen Kane- If Hearst got his way, this film would not exist. He banned any promotion for the film, which almost killed it's box office performance. He even tried to have all copies of the film destroyed
Fantasia- Never turned a profit until the re-release in '69, 29 years after it's initial release

Hulk: 2003 & King Kong: 2005. Each made some money, but they both under performed at the box office.

All the classics like CK and WOO, but recently I'd say Land of the Dead. I too was disappointed when I first saw it, but then I bought it and watched it again and realized that it rocks ass. Now I love it.

    Devil's Rejects

    Slither

It wasn't Shakespeare, but it wasn't Ed wood either.

It was a fun, campy Schwarzenegger movie.

It's no worse than "Commando", "Red Heat", or for that matter, "Terminator 2: Judgement Day".
